In the early hours of December 7th, Inter Miami defeated Vancouver Whitecaps 3-1 in the 2025 MLS Grand Finals. This was Inter Miami's second trophy in a week. On November 30th, Messi and his teammates won the Eastern Conference championship, however, this title was not recognized by FIFA as it was only a regional championship.
After the match, Beckham, as co-owner of Inter Miami, went onto the pitch to congratulate the entire team. The former Manchester United star embraced Messi with a look of immense pride. In front of the television cameras, Beckham briefly said: "Just give the ball to Messi, and he'll score a goal."
Beckham later appeared alongside Messi during the moment of lifting the championship trophy. These two prominent figures played a major role in Inter Miami's miraculous 2025 season.
Messi was the historic signing Beckham brought to Inter Miami, transforming the team from a relegation battle into a force capable of competing for any title. Nearly three years after Messi joined, Inter Miami has won a total of four titles.
For Messi personally, this is the third official title he has won with Inter Miami, after the 2024 Supporters' Shield and the 2023 Leagues Cup. In total, "El Pulga" has 48 titles in his career – the most in football history, far surpassing his former teammate Dani Alves with 43 titles.
