To fund the transfer, Juventus have identified eight players they will sell this summer. Notable names on the list include Dusan Vlahovic and Douglas Luiz. Additionally, goalkeeper Mattia Perin, defenders Lloyd Kelly and Daniele Rugani, forwards Filip Kostic and Samuel Mbangula, and Arkadiusz Milik may also be offloaded.

Gyokeres rejected a move to Manchester United, opening up an opportunity for Arsenal. After discussions with his agent, Arsenal made two offers worth £55 million and £60 million, both of which were rejected by Sporting.
