Napoli have begun preparations for the summer transfer window by approaching Joshua Zirkzee, the Manchester United striker. According to Napoli Magazine , the Serie A club have had significant discussions with the Dutch player's representatives to find a way to strengthen their attack.
This move comes as Lukaku's future at Napoli is uncertain. The Belgian striker caused controversy during the FIFA Days in March when he withdrew from the national team but did not return to the club, instead remaining in Belgium to recover.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport , this action puts him at risk of disciplinary action and could even lead to him being excluded from manager Antonio Conte's plans.
