Kitchen of the Past: Bringing warmth to urban kitchens.

The launch event for the Bếp Cội brand by artisan Hồ Đắc Thiếu Anh took place on the morning of May 24th at Genshai Vista Verde supermarket.
In the hustle and bustle of modern urban life, where time for family meals is increasingly limited, the smoke from traditional kitchens seems to be less common in many small apartments. Against this backdrop, the emergence of a traditional kitchen is not merely a commercial matter, but the realization of a dream, a heartfelt aspiration of those who have dedicated their lives to preserving the culinary culture of their country. Bếp Cội (Traditional Kitchen) was born from the love and concern of artisan Hồ Đắc Thiếu Anh, aiming to provide a complete nutritional solution for busy families.
Entering the digital age, people face increasing time pressure. After a long day of work, the task of personally selecting ingredients and spending hours in the kitchen preparing a decent meal has become an invisible burden for many young people. The convenience of fast food and technology-based delivery services has inadvertently eroded the habit of gathering around the family dinner table. People are starting to eat to satisfy hunger, to meet deadlines, instead of eating to enjoy the meal and feel connected to each other.
This very reality fueled the unceasing concern of Culinary Culture Artist Ho Dac Thieu Anh and her daughter, artist Nguyen Ho Tieu Anh, who created the Bep Coi (Home Kitchen) brand. For them, Vietnamese cuisine is not simply a blend of spices or cooking techniques, but the soul, the sacred emotional thread connecting generations. The family meal is where the soul is nurtured, the most peaceful place for each person to return to after the storms of life. When the flame of the home kitchen tends to cool down in the heart of the city, these artisans understand that they need to act, they need to find a new way to bring the original flavors back to everyday life.

Bếp Cội was born from the passion for Vietnamese cuisine of artisan Hồ Đạt Thiếu Anh and his daughter.
Kitchen of the Past: Ensuring food is both "Delicious and Healthy"
Born into the Hồ Đắc family with a rich cultural heritage, artisan Hồ Đắc Thiếu Anh absorbed the essence and sophistication of both royal and folk cuisine from a young age. Throughout decades of dedication in roles such as Deputy Director of the UNESCO Center for Vietnamese Culinary Culture and Head of the Club of Folk and Contemporary Culinary Artisans, she has always held a firm belief: Culture must live in life, not just remain on the pages of books. This aspiration has been passed on in its entirety to her daughter – artisan Nguyễn Hồ Tiếu Anh.

Bếp Cội (The Roots Kitchen) was born as a quiet, humane haven amidst the hustle and bustle of life, where a mother and daughter artisans pour all their love and understanding into serving busy people. The word "Cội" signifies a return to one's roots, a reminder of each person's origins through familiar flavors. The core idea of the project is to create a culinary space that can share the burden with women, those who build homes in modern society. Here, the philosophy of "Delicious and Healthy" is paramount. "Delicious" refers to the authentic flavors of each region, without any adulteration or mixing. "Healthy" is a commitment to clean ingredients and meticulous preparation to ensure the highest nutritional value and protect the health of the community.
Kitchen of the Ancestors: The roots of the nation converge in a single meal.
A truly authentic meal at Bếp Cội is the culmination of cultural essence from across the country. Diners can find here the refined elegance of a bowl of meatball soup with the rich flavors of Northern Vietnamese feasts; the deep, savory richness of Hue -style beef noodle soup; or the generous and abundant flavors of Southern Vietnamese cuisine with a pot of braised pork with eggs, naturally amber in color, and a bubbling pot of braised fish served with a plate of boiled vegetables dipped in fragrant fish sauce.

A truly authentic meal at Bếp Cội is the culmination of cultural excellence and the dedication of the chef.
To create these exquisite dishes, the chef must dedicate a great deal of heart and soul to each one. Every bowl of sour soup, every slice of braised fish, embodies meticulous attention to detail, from selecting the fish and vegetables to carefully controlling the heat and timing the seasoning. This dedication transforms soulless, mass-produced dishes into culinary masterpieces imbued with the warmth of a mother's love, allowing diners to feel the care and attention as if they were enjoying a meal cooked by a loved one at home.
Bếp Cội: A destination that radiates the feeling of home.
In conclusion, what remains is not just a promotion for a newly opened stall. Bếp Cội, located at Genshai Vista Verde, is proof that commerce can absolutely become a sustainable means of transporting and spreading beautiful cultural values.
Bringing traditional dishes into modern retail is a sophisticated strategic move. It helps culinary heritage escape isolated display spaces and enter people's daily lives, into their shopping routines. At the same time, it helps bring home-cooked meals closer to modern families with limited time. Doing business with integrity, combined with a convenient supermarket model to serve the community – this is how culinary artisans preserve the roots of Vietnamese meals, ensuring that the flame of togetherness continues to burn brightly in every home amidst this bustling city.
