Due to the nature of his work in a combat-ready unit, Comrade Hoa is frequently away from home participating in training, exercises, carrying out unexpected missions, or going on long business trips. Even so, amidst the demands of his work, he always dedicates the precious little time he has each day to connect with his family. During his lunch break or after finishing work, he always makes time to call home to check on his wife and children.
Short video calls have become a habit over the years. It's a time when he listens to his daughter, Vu Gia Han, talk about her studies, encouraging her to be diligent and work hard to achieve better results. When he learned she had just won a Silver medal in Mathematics at the National Olympiad and an Honorable Mention in English at the provincial level, the father's joy was multiplied. For him, his daughter's growth is the motivation that allows him to dedicate himself wholeheartedly to his work.

Not only did he show concern for his daughter, but each call was also an opportunity for him to check on and encourage his wife, who silently managed the household. His simple words of advice—to take care of her health, strive in her work, and look after the children and both sides of the family—filled the heartfelt sharing of a husband often away from home. It was his wife's understanding, trust, and support that gave him the strength to complete all his assigned tasks.
While work days are dedicated to duty, each leave period is a time Major Vu Viet Hoa devotes entirely to his family. He proactively prepares warm meals, helps his wife clean the house, takes care of the children, and shares daily chores. For him, it's not just a way to make up for days away from home, but also a way to nurture family bonds, ensuring his loved ones always feel his presence and responsibility as a husband and father.
A happy family is not only a strong support system for every soldier but also contributes to the mental strength that enables them to successfully complete their duties. For Major Vu Viet Hoa, to keep the flame of happiness burning, he always shows his love for his family through practical and sincere actions.
