A symbol of Belarus arrives in Hanoi.

Nearly 100 outstanding artists from the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus will return to Hanoi to perform in two nights of "Bella Belarus: Masterpieces of Opera and Ballet" on May 7th and 8th at the Ho Guom Theatre.

The Belarusian National Opera and Ballet Theatre is one of the oldest theatres in Belarus, considered a symbol, a source of pride, and a treasure of Belarusian national culture.

According to initial information from the organizers, the Bella Belarus: Masterpieces of Opera and Ballet program will be structured as a "panel" bringing together the finest elements of European classical music .

Audiences will have the opportunity to enjoy famous excerpts from opera masterpieces with timeless arias such as Nessun dorma (G. Puccini), La donna è mobile (G. Verdi), or Habanera (G. Bizet)... along with classic ballet excerpts such as Swan Lake and Don Quixote.

The performance also brought the unique influences of Belarus and Eastern Europe to the stage of the Ho Guom Theatre with works such as The Grey Legend, Iryna's aria (Dmitri Smolsky), Romance (Georgy Sviridov), O surdato "nnammurato"…

This is the second time the art troupe from the Belarusian National Opera and Ballet Theatre has come to Vietnam to perform. Last year, they held a Belarusian Night in Hanoi concert which was very well received by the capital's audience.
