Binh Dinh conceded a goal against SLNA.

In Nghe An, linesman Pham Hoai Tam incorrectly flagged for offside, causing Binh Dinh to lose a goal as the match ended in a 0-0 draw against SLNA in Round 12 of the V-League.

In the 42nd minute, Rafaelson received the ball just outside the penalty area and passed it with the outside of his foot to Pham Van Thanh, who was running down the wing. Goalkeeper Van Viet collided with a teammate, causing the ball to roll away, allowing Van Thanh to shoot into an empty net. However, referee Tran Dinh Thinh blew the whistle, disallowing the goal after seeing assistant referee Pham Hoai Tam raise the flag for offside. Subsequent replays on television showed that Van Thanh was not offside and there was no contact between the two SLNA players.

Earlier, the match at Vinh Stadium in Round 12 of the V-League 2023 was exciting with an attacking style of play from both sides. The first threat to the goal came from SLNA in the 10th minute. Binh Dinh goalkeeper Dang Van Lam had to use his foot to block a close-range shot from Xuan Manh after a good combination with Michael Olaha.

Subsequently, Binh Dinh pressed relentlessly with Rafaelson's shot hitting the crossbar and Trinh Duc Loi's long-range shot forcing goalkeeper Van Viet into a difficult save. In the 30th minute, the SLNA goalkeeper misjudged the ball's trajectory, giving Duc Loi a chance to shoot into an empty net, but Tran Dinh Hoang managed to rush back and use his heel to clear the ball off the line. SLNA responded with Olaha's volley from just outside the penalty area towards the right corner, but Van Lam made a diving save.

In the second half, Binh Dinh found their rhythm better with several attacking moves. In the 49th minute, Ha Duc Chinh played a good one-two with Rafaelon before crossing the ball for Van Thanh to shoot. The ball went into the net, but the referee disallowed it and gave Van Thanh a yellow card for using his hand to shoot. The remainder of the second half saw many opportunities, but neither team's attack could capitalize, resulting in a 0-0 draw.

This was Binh Dinh's fifth consecutive match without a win, including three draws. After 12 rounds, they remain in seventh place with 16 points, level with Hai Phong and Nam Dinh but with a different goal difference. Meanwhile, SLNA is in tenth place with 13 points, three points behind the top eight.
