Accordingly, citizens aged 6 years or older who have been issued an identification card will be granted a level 01 electronic identification account and a level 02 electronic identification account.
Citizens under 06 years old who have been issued an identification card will be granted a level 01 electronic identification account.
Foreigners entering Vietnam under 06 years old are granted level 01 electronic identification accounts; From 06 years old or older, you will be granted a level 01 electronic identity account and a level 02 electronic identity account.
Agencies and organizations established or registered to operate in Vietnam are granted electronic identification accounts of the agency or organization regardless of level.
Level 01 electronic identity accounts of Vietnamese citizens and foreigners are used to access, exploit, and use information about electronic identities, features, utilities, and applications of the system. electronic identification and authentication, other information systems.

The representative and guardian use their own mobile subscription number and their level 02 electronic identification account to declare and register for a level 01 electronic identification account for Vietnamese citizens. The electronic identity subject activates the electronic identity account on the national identification application within 7 days from the date of receiving notification of the result of granting an electronic identity account.
After 7 days, if the e-ID account is not activated, the e-identity subject will contact the e-identification and identification management agency through the switchboard to receive and resolve requests for identification and e-authentication in order to activate the account.
People under 14 years old, guardians, and representatives using electronic identification accounts must have the consent and confirmation of the representative or guardian through the national identification application.
