Minister of National Defense offers incense to commemorate General Vo Nguyen Giap and presents gifts to families of policy beneficiaries and meritorious people in Nguyen Binh district

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day, on the morning of December 11, a delegation of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense led by General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission and Minister of National Defense, came to offer flowers and incense to commemorate General Vo Nguyen Giap and 34 soldiers of the Vietnam Propaganda Liberation Army at the Tran Hung Dao Forest Special National Relic Site; visited and presented gifts to families of policy beneficiaries and people with revolutionary contributions in Nguyen Binh district. Accompanying them were Deputy Minister of National Defense, Commander of Military Region 1; leaders of the General Departments: Logistics, Engineering, and Defense Industry. On the provincial side, there was comrade Hoang Xuan Anh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of departments, agencies and branches.


The delegation of the Ministry of National Defense offered incense to commemorate General Vo Nguyen Giap at the Tran Hung Dao National Special Relic Site, Nguyen Binh District, Cao Bang Province.

Minister of National Defense, General Phan Van Giang and delegates offered flowers and incense to commemorate General Vo Nguyen Giap - the eldest brother of the Vietnam People's Army and the soldiers of the Vietnam Propaganda Liberation Army. In a solemn atmosphere, the delegation expressed their infinite gratitude to General Vo Nguyen Giap, a loyal revolutionary soldier, an excellent and close student of President Ho Chi Minh; an outstanding military talent, with many great achievements and especially outstanding contributions to the revolutionary cause of our Party and our nation. For more than 30 years as Commander-in-Chief of the Army, Secretary of the Central Military Commission, General Vo Nguyen Giap has always set a shining example of revolutionary spirit, creativity in military art, the art of commanding troops, an outstanding general who has worked hard to cultivate and build the Vietnam Army to become increasingly mature, strong, and invincible.


Minister of National Defense, General Phan Van Giang wrote his thoughts in the golden book of memories of the relic site.

Writing his thoughts in the memorial book, Minister of National Defense, General Phan Van Giang affirmed: The Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense and the officers and soldiers of the entire army vow to unite with one heart, be absolutely loyal to the Party, the State, the People and the socialist regime, always promote the noble qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers as well as the glorious tradition of 80 years of building and growing of the heroic Vietnam People's Army; ready to receive and excellently complete all tasks, determined to build a revolutionary, disciplined, elite and modern Vietnam People's Army, together with the entire Party and people to successfully carry out the renovation process, build and firmly protect the socialist Vietnam Fatherland.


The Central Military Commission - Ministry of National Defense delegation visited, encouraged and presented gifts to officers on duty at the Management Board of special national relic sites in Cao Bang province.


The delegation visited the founding site and accommodation of the Vietnam Propaganda Liberation Army in the Tran Hung Dao Forest Special National Relic Site.

After the incense offering ceremony, the delegation visited and encouraged the staff on duty at the Provincial Special National Relics Management Board; visited the founding site and accommodation of the Vietnam Propaganda Liberation Army Team in the Tran Hung Dao Forest Special National Relic Site and planted a memorial tree on the grounds of the relic site.


Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang presented gifts to the Provincial Border Guard Command, the Provincial Military Command, the District Party Committee, the Military Command of Nguyen Binh District, and the Party Committees and authorities of Tam Kim and Hoa Tham communes.

Visiting the revolutionary land, the Minister of National Defense kindly inquired about the health and hoped that the families would continue to uphold their traditions, strive to overcome all difficulties, work enthusiastically in production, improve their lives, and build their homeland more and more prosperous. On this occasion, General, Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang and the delegation presented 6 gifts to the Provincial Border Guard Command, the Provincial Military Command, the District Party Committee, the Military Command of Nguyen Binh District, the Party Committees and authorities of Tam Kim and Hoa Tham communes; presented 22 gifts to families of policy beneficiaries and people with revolutionary contributions in the area. The Commander of Military Region 1 and the leaders of Cao Bang province presented 56 gifts to groups, families of policy beneficiaries and people with revolutionary contributions on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day.
