The transformation of the operating model and the building of a high-quality human resource team to meet the work requirements in the new situation of Vietnam National Shipping Lines is an inevitable process to improve competitiveness, modernize management and optimize resources for the Corporation. In this process, with the constitutional function of the Trade Union organization to participate in management, represent and protect the legitimate and legal rights of union members and employees in the enterprise, the Trade Union at all levels of Vietnam National Shipping Lines plays a very important role. In the period of 2020 - 2025, jobs, salaries, benefits and welfare of union members, workers, officers and crew members of enterprises are guaranteed, the democratic regulations at the workplace are seriously implemented by the Trade Union and professional organizations, periodic dialogues, especially ad hoc dialogues when there are recommendations from union members and workers during the process of enterprises implementing the transformation of operating models, restructuring production and business, human resources are actively listened to by the Trade Union, proposed to organize, recognized and promptly resolved by professional organizations, contributing to stabilizing ideology, creating trust among union members and workers about the strategy and development orientation of enterprises, thereby building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations.
Achieving these results must include the propaganda and mass mobilization work of the Party Committee of the Corporation in leading the Trade Union organization to carry out ideological orientation and psychological stabilization for union members and workers in the face of changes in organizational models, labor - employment; creating consensus in implementing the development policies and strategies of the Corporation; promoting the role of the trade union organization as a solid support for union members and workers in the context of strong movements in the Maritime industry.
In the field of seaports, Party committees at all levels have led trade unions to coordinate in organizing internal communication sessions on the application of automation technology in the management and operation of "green" seaport systems with modern port exploitation equipment, maximizing human resource savings while still ensuring labor safety, helping workers understand correctly, accompany innovation, and not be passive in the face of change. As a result, at many seaports such as Hai Phong Port and Da Nang Port, the rate of union members and workers supporting restructuring is high, and labor productivity has grown sustainably.
With the characteristics of working in complex and dangerous weather conditions, long days at sea, away from family, the implementation of propaganda work on policies, regimes, improving qualifications and grasping the thoughts of officers and crew members of the Maritime Transport sector is directed by the Party Committee and the Trade Union to implement through the use of internal social networks, emails, and on-board information systems to promptly update crew members on the development plans of the enterprise and record feedback from the brothers on board, carry out training, improve professional qualifications, foreign languages, skills, update new knowledge on maritime law, international and domestic labor law, especially "green transport", helping officers and crew members of units to fully perform their responsibilities as Vietnamese citizens abroad, thereby maintaining the position of the VIMC fleet in the region and in the world.
In maritime service enterprises, the Party's propaganda and mass mobilization work is associated with leadership and direction in building corporate cultural identity, customer care with the motto "Taking customers as the center" and building a team of dedicated, professional, creative and honest cadres, employees and workers.
It can be affirmed that the combination of the Party's propaganda and mass mobilization work and the movement activities of trade unions at all levels has helped the transformation process of the Corporation's model in the period of 2020 - 2025 to be successful, initially building a team of quality, disciplined and professional human resources to help improve service quality and the image and brand of VIMC.
In the coming time, when VIMC promotes the application of digital transformation to realize development goals for the period 2025 - 2030, the Corporation's Trade Unions at all levels will continue to promote the frontline role of grassroots trade unions in receiving, reflecting and advising on solutions to handle ideological issues, thoughts and aspirations of union members and employees; organize periodic surveys on the level of satisfaction and understanding of development strategies to have a basis for adjusting communication and propaganda work by enhancing visuality, modernizing and diversifying propaganda methods: video clips, infographics, internal social networks, etc.; organize campaigns and emulation movements associated with digital transformation, green logistics, VIMC corporate culture with the core values of "Discipline, consensus, creativity, dedication, integrity" and the vision of "Overcoming waves, reaching far into the new era"; Commend and replicate typical advanced examples in production labor with the spirit of innovation, creativity, flexible adaptation and readiness to fulfill social responsibility.
The propaganda and mass mobilization work of the VIMC Party Committee in leading and directing the activities of the Vietnam National Shipping Lines Trade Union has, is and will continue to play a core role in maintaining the ideological position, creating consensus, arousing the desire for innovation and creativity, building a team of disciplined, dedicated and united maritime workers for the sustainable development of VIMC.
