Recently, the Provincial Ethnic Affairs Department organized five training courses on ethnic affairs for nearly 350 participants, including officials and civil servants directly involved in advising and monitoring ethnic affairs at the provincial, district, and commune levels, as well as Party branch secretaries and heads of residential areas in ethnic minority regions.

This is target group 4, under sub-project 2, project 5 of the National Target Program for socio -economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas, giai đoạn 2021-2030; phase 1 from 2021-2025.
The trainees were introduced to six topics, including: an overview of ethnic minorities in Vietnam; the Party's viewpoints, policies, and guidelines on ethnic issues and ethnic affairs; laws and policies of the State on socio-economic development in ethnic minority areas; building a strong grassroots political system in ethnic minority areas; state management of the culture of ethnic minorities; and national defense and security in ethnic minority and mountainous areas. The training course also included seminars and discussions on ethnic issues, ethnic affairs, and the results of implementing ethnic policies in the sector or locality. Therefore, the aim is to enhance and update knowledge of ethnic minorities and their cultures, improve the professional skills and expertise of officials and employees working in ethnic affairs, and contribute to the effective implementation of propaganda and mobilization efforts among ethnic minorities to promote socio-economic development in accordance with the Party's guidelines and the State's laws, thereby strengthening national unity.
At the end of the training course, 100% of the participants wrote a summary report according to the training program.
