The Ho Chi Minh City Children's Football Tournament - Yamaha Cup 2025 officially opened on the morning of March 29th at the H2 Tan Son stadium (Tan Binh district), with the participation of 32 teams from primary schools across the city.
This tournament is being organized for the first time by the Vietnam-Japan Star Football Training Center (VJSS). In addition, the tournament receives professional support from the Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation (HFF).
Taking place over two days, March 29th and 30th, the tournament not only provided an opportunity for 480 children to hone their skills and improve their physical fitness, but also contributed to the development of youth football in Ho Chi Minh City.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the tournament on the morning of March 29, Mr. Nguyen Hoai Anh, representative of the organizing committee, shared: "We believe that football is not just a sport, but also a tool to help young children develop courage, teamwork, and a will to succeed."

We hope this tournament will become an annual event, contributing to the discovery and nurturing of young football talents for the future."
Immediately after the opening ceremony, the young players simultaneously entered the arena to compete enthusiastically on 8 fields. Many teams displayed excellent professional skills, delivering beautiful plays that impressed both parents and spectators.
This is a significant achievement stemming from the school football program, which HFF has implemented since 2013 and has increasingly expanded to schools throughout the city. From the School Football Festival, young children now have an official tournament to showcase their talents.
In order to give young players the maximum opportunity to compete, the Ho Chi Minh City Children's Football Tournament - Yamaha Cup 2025 has a completely different competition format compared to regular tournaments.
Accordingly, the 32 teams are divided into 8 groups, playing a round-robin format to determine rankings and select teams to compete in different divisions to vie for the championship.
The winning team in category A will receive a trophy, gold medals, and 10 million VND in prize money. The winning team in category B will receive a trophy, gold medals , and 6 million VND in prize money.
