Ronaldo has become the first footballer to reach billionaire status, according to the latest statistics from Bloomberg . This success is largely due to his massive contract with Al Nassr, a team in the Saudi Pro League, along with numerous investments and lucrative advertising deals globally.
Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in January 2023, after his contract with Manchester United ended by mutual agreement. Following the 2022 World Cup, CR7 signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Al Nassr, earning a record salary of £177 million per year – equivalent to £3.4 million per week.
According to reports, Ronaldo pocketed £354 million in his first two years at Al Nassr, plus another £102 million in the first half of 2025 alone. In total, his first contract will bring the Portuguese superstar £456 million over two years.

Despite numerous rumors about a potential departure, Ronaldo decided to stay with the Riyadh-based club, signing a two-year contract extension in June worth approximately £298 million. Under the new contract, the 40-year-old superstar earns around £12.4 million per month, meaning he has added nearly £50 million to his income in just the last four months.
Saudi Arabian media reported that this figure does not include the 20% stake that CR7 received when signing his new contract with Al Nassr, making him one of the club's shareholders.
To date, Ronaldo has scored 104 goals in 117 matches for Al Nassr. His on-field achievements, combined with his enormous earnings in Saudi Arabia, have brought his total earnings at the club to £505.6 million – a colossal figure in sports history.
With a net worth exceeding £1 billion, Ronaldo has not only solidified his legendary status on the pitch but has also become a symbol of success in international sports.
