Ca Mau: Dried shrimp in high demand during Tet holiday.

(HTV) - At this time, to serve the market for the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Horse, many dried shrimp factories in Ca Mau province are running at full capacity to meet customer demand.

At the Ba Khia Cooperative in Dam Doi, Quach Pham commune, the factory imports one to two tons of fresh shrimp daily for processing into dried shrimp. This year, Ca Mau dried shrimp has seen a significant increase in demand. Six products, including whole-shell dried tiger shrimp and finished dried shrimp, are currently selling for between 900,000 and 1.5 million VND per kilogram, depending on size.
