Pessimistic people only think about death.
A review of episode 49 of "Our Family Suddenly Happy," aired on the evening of August 24th, reveals a scene where, to encourage Cong (Quang Su), Thanh (Doan Quoc Dam) hires a 16-seater van to take Cong to the doctor. However, Cong remains pessimistic about his health and asks Ha (Lan Phuong) to let Long stay overnight with him, explaining that he doesn't know how many more days he'll be able to spend with his nephew.
The whole family hired a 16-seater van to take Cong to the doctor.
When Long asked, "Where are you going, Uncle?", Cong coldly replied, "Uncle Cong is dying. Everyone has to die eventually; you can't always get what you want." Cong's harshness startled Ha. Thanh also had to remind Cong, "Why are you talking nonsense to a child like that?"
Cong wanted Long to sleep with him because he didn't know how many more days he would get to sleep with his nephew.
Thanh plans to rescue Cong and his whole family.
Soon after, Thanh devised a "special" plan and discussed it with the whole family, hoping to save Cong's life as well as the lives of the entire family.
"He doesn't like people comforting him; he prefers his cancer to be a deep, melancholic mess. So I think we should play the opposite game..." - Thanh suggested.
Agreeing with Thanh's point of view, Danh (Thanh Son) added: "It might sound harsh, but I think we should support Cong's negative way of thinking; who knows, it might yield positive results."
The whole family held a meeting to discuss "changing tactics" regarding Cong.
After hearing her sons' proposal, Mrs. Cúc (People's Artist Lan Hương) seemed quite worried. However, seeing her eldest son's negative thoughts and constant mention of death, she probably hoped that Thành's method might save Công.
How will the whole family change their attitude towards Cong? Will this approach really be effective? The answer will be revealed in episode 49 of "Our Family Has a Sudden Happy Moment," airing at 9:40 PM tonight on VTV3.
