Singer Kasim Hoang Vu has passed away.

According to singer Duy Truong, a close colleague of Kasim Hoang Vu, Kasim Hoang Vu passed away at the hospital after a long battle with illness.

Kasim Hoang Vu, whose real name is Nguyen Duc Hoang Vu, was born in 1980 and is the son of singer Bich Phuong. He is known to audiences for his powerful voice, having competed in the National Television Singing Festival in 1999 and the Sao Mai Rendezvous 2004. Throughout his career, Kasim Hoang Vu has impressed audiences with his ruggedly handsome appearance and a series of hit songs such as " Who Am I, Who Are You?", "The Eyes of Pleiku", and "The Great Love".

For many years, Kasim Hoang Vu settled in the US, diligently participating in artistic activities but choosing a private life. Besides that, he also developed his business ventures. In 2018, the singer, born in 1980, attracted attention when he announced that he had a child.

In an interview, the singer who rose to fame from the Sao Mai Diem Hen singing competition admitted that he has become calmer since becoming a father. "The feeling of personally taking care of my 'miniature version' makes Kasim Hoang Vu much happier," he said.

Due to poor appetite, he lost over 15kg at one point.

Since experiencing health problems, Kasim Hoang Vu has almost completely stopped his artistic activities and no longer appears on stage as before. Not long ago, some friends in the US organized a charity concert to support the Sao Mai Diem Hen singer through this difficult time.

Previously, during his battle with illness, Kasim Hoang Vu faced false rumors about himself. In September 2024, he had to speak out to deny rumors of his death, stating that he was focusing on treatment.
