Currently, the price of pangasius fingerlings has increased by 0.2 - 0.4 VND/fish, equivalent to 1.4 VND/fish. However, companies are still finding it difficult to purchase the desired quantity of fingerlings. The main reason is the reduced supply.
According to an analysis by provincial fisheries associations, cold weather has caused a decrease in the number of eggs laid by broodstock. Furthermore, the cold weather has resulted in significant losses of newly hatched fish within the first 30 days.
