To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification, the Thang Long Music and Dance Theatre and the Thang Long Puppet Theatre are focusing their efforts on staging a special artistic program to perform for audiences in Hanoi at the Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square stage (Hoan Kiem district) on the evening of April 29th and at the Ba Kieu Temple area stage (Hoan Kiem district) on the evening of April 30th.
The programs feature many works praising the nation's revolutionary struggle traditions; the great historical significance and profound meaning of the Liberation Day of the South and National Reunification Day on April 30, 1975; the achievements of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City after 50 years of national reunification; the capital today; and the aspiration to rise for a strong and prosperous Vietnam.
From April 27th to May 7th, the Hanoi Circus and Variety Arts Theatre, the Hanoi Cai Luong Theatre, the Hanoi Cheo Theatre, and the Hanoi Drama Theatre will bring songs, performances, and theatrical acts praising the reunification of the country and evoking national pride to the people of the districts and counties of Nam Tu Liem, Ha Dong, Ung Hoa, Dong Anh, Me Linh, Thanh Oai, Chuong My, Phu Xuyen, and Hoai Duc.
The Vietnam National Drama Theatre is organizing the art program "Remembering Him in May" from April 27th to May 25th at Stage No. 1 Trang Tien (Hoan Kiem District), performing two plays, "The Man in Rubber Sandals" and "White Night," praising the image of President Ho Chi Minh and the Vietnamese revolution. The aim is to bring audiences poignant moments to remember Him and continue the light He brought to the nation, leading to today's independence.
The "Memories of Truong Son" program by the Vietnam Contemporary Art Theatre, held on the evening of April 27th at the Hanoi Grand Theatre, transported the audience back to the bomb-ridden years filled with willpower and faith, through timeless songs performed by veteran singers such as People's Artist Thu Hien, People's Artist Thanh Hoa, People's Artist Quang Tho, and People's Artist Trung Duc…
Meaningful, heroic, and incredibly captivating and visually stunning, the circus program "National Festival" by the Vietnam Circus Federation, launched on this occasion, offers a truly immersive experience. With three parts – "Homeland of Three Regions," "Crossing the Truong Son Mountains," and "National Festival" – the program opens up a space for interaction and exploration , paying tribute to the past while inspiring the future.
People's Artist Tong Toan Thang, Director of the Vietnam Circus Federation and general director of the program, said, "The 'National Festival' like other political and historical programs that the Vietnam Circus Federation has been and is currently producing, attracts a large audience."

Besides programs and artistic activities with themes about national reunification, Hanoi audiences can also enjoy other attractive artistic activities, promising a fun and relaxing holiday.
The Hanoi Cai Luong Theatre continues to organize the "Essence of Vietnamese Art" series of art programs, bringing audiences and tourists the experience of Cai Luong performances recreating classic scenes, songs, and melodies, and experiencing the "Touch" installation space introducing Vietnamese culture.
Pham Ba Chinh, Director of the Hanoi Cai Luong Theatre, shared that the program is not only an entertainment event, but also an opportunity for the public, especially young people, to explore and gain a deeper understanding of Vietnamese history, culture, and the soul of the Vietnamese people through Cai Luong art.
To offer a diverse audience, the Vietnam Circus and Variety Arts Vocational School is organizing the "Dance of the Green Forest with Animals" circus gala at the Long Bien District Cultural, Information and Sports Center Gymnasium. Performances such as "Dance of the Green Forest," "Giant Dinosaurs," and "Flying Superheroes" promise to bring audiences excitement, surprises, and a visually stunning experience. The program will have continuous performances from April 30th to May 4th.
The "Essence of Northern Vietnam" program in Sai Son (Quoc Oai) during the April 30th and May 1st holidays is even more special because, in addition to enjoying a unique live performance rich in the cultural colors of the Northern Delta, audiences can also enjoy a dazzling fireworks display, meet contemporary music artists, participate in activities such as painting "Independence Hats," check-in at the national flag space, and experience a mini military zone…
