Hue: Ancient Capital - New Opportunities

The National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 features over 170 unique national and local-scale programs and events. This series of events has contributed to widely promoting the image of the heritage, history, people, and cultural identity of the ancient capital of Hue to a large number of people and tourists, both domestic and international.

At Ngo Mon Square - Hue Imperial Citadel, the closing ceremony of the National Tourism Year 2025, themed "Ancient Capital - New Opportunities," was solemnly held, concluding the vibrant series of activities of the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 organized nationwide.

With the approval of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Hue City is honored to host the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025, featuring over 170 national and local-scale programs and events. Specifically, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and other central ministries and agencies are organizing 8 national-scale activities; provinces and centrally-governed cities are organizing over 102 programs and events in response; and Hue City itself is organizing 67 unique cultural, sports, and tourism activities. This series of events has contributed to widely promoting the image of the heritage, history, people, and cultural identity of the ancient capital of Hue to a large number of people and tourists, both domestic and international.

The National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 was implemented comprehensively and on schedule, attracting the attention and participation of millions of domestic and international tourists, leaving many outstanding impressions and making an important contribution to the overall results of Vietnam's tourism industry in 2025.

Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee, affirmed: The National Tourism Year - Hue 2025, with the theme "Ancient Capital - New Opportunities," has concluded with many impressive achievements, most notably over 6 million tourists visiting Hue; the image of the ancient capital has spread strongly across domestic and international media platforms. This is vivid evidence of the new vitality of Hue tourism, and at the same time affirms Hue's role as a unique cultural and tourism center of Vietnam.

The National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 will feature more than 170 unique national and local-scale programs and events.

The Chairman of the City People's Committee emphasized that the success of the National Tourism Year not only comes from the efforts of the government at all levels, but also from the collaboration and joint efforts of the business community, artists, artisans, local people, and international friends. Hosting the National Tourism Year is a great honor and an opportunity for Hue to strongly promote the image of a heritage land rich in tradition, friendly, and hospitable.

The achievements serve as an important foundation for Hue to continue developing unique tourism products, improving service quality, and aiming for sustainable tourism development linked to heritage preservation and improving the lives of local people. Based on this, Hue will continue to implement its strategy for developing a smart, green, and sustainable heritage city, focusing on improving the quality of tourism products linked to heritage values; promoting digital transformation and international tourism promotion; strengthening public-private partnerships in infrastructure and service investment; and building a modern, dynamic Hue citizenry while preserving cultural depth and elegance.

The closing night's artistic program was elaborately staged, deeply rooted in Hue's cultural identity, harmoniously blending tradition and modernity. Featuring many renowned artists, singers, and professional art troupes, the program presented spectacular performances honoring the heritage of the ancient capital, the beauty of Vietnam's land and people, and the aspirations for development in the new era, leaving a profound impression on both locals and tourists.
