Visitors should choose locations with panoramic views to enjoy the performances at the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival.
The 11th Da Nang International Fireworks Festival returns after a 3-year absence due to the pandemic. The fireworks displays will take place from June 2 to July 8 on the east bank of the Han River. 8 teams will compete with the following schedule: Da Nang - Vietnam team will compete with Finland on the opening night; Canada - France (June 10), Italy - Australia (June 17), Poland - England (June 24) and the final match will take place on the evening of July 8.
Nguyen Thien, communications manager for several hotels in Da Nang, said that tourists who are afraid of crowds can choose to watch the fireworks at restaurants and hotel bars near the festival area. In addition, there are also public places or river cruises.
Public places
Public places offer visitors free space to watch fireworks. Visitors should park their vehicles and walk in these public areas. In addition, pay attention to protecting personal belongings and limit carrying many valuables in your pockets when going to crowded places.
Bridges across the Han River such as Han River Bridge, Thuan Phuoc Bridge, Dragon Bridge and Tran Thi Ly Bridge are ideal places to admire free fireworks displays at close range.

The area of the carp transforming into a dragon statue and the Love Bridge on the east bank of the Han River is also easy to observe the fireworks. The carp transforming into a dragon statue is located between the Dragon Bridge and the Love Bridge, right next to the Han River on Tran Hung Dao Street. The Love Bridge is located between the Dragon Bridge and the Han River Bridge. From these two locations, you can observe the whole city and the other side of the river.
Bach Dang Street Located in the city center, where you can clearly observe the fireworks. The best place to watch the fireworks is the area opposite the headquarters of the Da Nang People's Council and the Da Nang General Science Library. Visitors should park their vehicles when coming to the areas and check the time that vehicles are allowed to circulate on this road on festival days.
Rooftop bars
If you want to watch the fireworks from a high altitude and avoid crowded places, visitors can choose bars and restaurants located on the rooftops of hotels in the city center. The space here is private, but the service fee is high and reservations must be made in advance.
Sky 36 bar
This bar is located on the 35th-37th floors of the hotel on Bach Dang Street, overlooking the Han River and the entire city. From here, visitors can watch the fireworks displays at a close distance, as the hotel is only about 500 meters from the festival site.

This venue accepts reservations to ensure seating arrangements. There are four seating areas, including an outdoor dining area, lounge sofas, standing tables, and bar seating. In addition to the panoramic space, the bar also serves live music on the evenings of the fireworks festival. Drink prices, including cocktails and beer, range from VND180,000 to VND300,000 per glass.
Wink Hotel Danang Riverside
The hotel is located on Tran Hung Dao Street, stretching along part of the three-lane road along the Han River. There is a pool bar on the 25th floor with a 360-degree view of the city center. The bar opens from 6 p.m. for hotel guests and visitors. Admission during the fireworks festival is VND890,000 per person, including dinner and drinks.

Brilliant Top Bar
This venue is a restaurant and bar located on the top floor of a 17-storey hotel on Bach Dang Street, with a panoramic view of the Han River. During the fireworks festival, the bar is open from 9pm to 11pm.
Food combos here start at VND589,000, drinks cost around VND50,000 each. Visitors who want to have a seat near the glass wall to easily watch the fireworks should book a table about a day before the show.
Altitude Pool Bar
In addition to locations in the city center such as Bach Dang or Tran Hung Dao streets, visitors can watch fireworks from a distance from Son Tra peninsula at an altitude of about 700 m.
The recommended location is the pool bar located on the 33rd floor of the hotel on Vo Nguyen Giap Street, Son Tra District. The bar has a view of My Khe Beach, the city and the Han River area. In addition to serving drinks such as beer and cocktails, this place organizes a BBQ buffet during the fireworks festival, the ticket price is 750,000 VND per person.
Cruise on the Han River
In addition to high-altitude fireworks viewing spots, visitors can choose to experience floating on the Han River and enjoy the colorful light party from a yacht.

4U Danang Yacht, Danang Dragon Cruise, RV Han Princess or Han Giang, Ocean Tour all provide dinner service on the cruise, serving tourists to watch fireworks on the river. The cruises usually depart at 5pm at Han River port, taking tourists on a one-hour cruise on the river, then stopping at the fireworks viewing point. During this time, tourists can watch the fireworks show, have dinner and enjoy music on the ship. At around 10pm, the ship takes tourists back to the port.
Cruise fares including meals range from VND1.1 million to VND3 million. The upper deck and bow areas are often more expensive than seats on lower decks or in air-conditioned rooms.
