Visitors should choose locations with panoramic views to enjoy the displays at the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival.
The 11th Da Nang International Fireworks Festival returns after a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic. Fireworks displays will take place from June 2nd to July 8th on the east bank of the Han River. Eight teams will compete according to the following schedule: Da Nang - Vietnam will compete against Finland on the opening night; Canada - France (June 10th), Italy - Australia (June 17th), Poland - England (June 24th), and the final match will be held on the evening of July 8th.
Nguyen Thien, a communications manager for several hotels in Da Nang, said that tourists who are wary of crowds can choose to watch the fireworks from restaurants and hotel bars near the festival area. Alternatively, they can watch from public places or on boat trips on the river.
Public places
Public places offer visitors free, unobstructed views of the fireworks. Visitors should park their cars and walk to these public areas. Additionally, be mindful of your belongings and avoid carrying large amounts of valuables in your bags when visiting crowded locations.
The bridges spanning the Han River, such as the Han River Bridge, Thuan Phuoc Bridge, Dragon Bridge, and Tran Thi Ly Bridge, are ideal locations to admire the fireworks displays up close for free.

The area around the Carp-to-Dragon statue and the Love Bridge on the east bank of the Han River also offers good views of the fireworks. The Carp-to-Dragon statue is located between the Dragon Bridge and the Love Bridge, right next to the Han River on Tran Hung Dao Street. The Love Bridge is situated between the Dragon Bridge and the Han River Bridge. From these two locations, you can observe a panoramic view of the city and the other side of the river.

Visitors should check the permitted traffic times on this road section during the festival days before parking their vehicles.

Besides locations in the city center such as Bach Dang or Tran Hung Dao streets, visitors can also watch fireworks from a distance on Son Tra peninsula at an altitude of about 700 meters.
The suggested location is a poolside bar on the 33rd floor of a hotel on Vo Nguyen Giap Street, Son Tra District. The bar offers views of My Khe Beach, the city skyline, and the Han River area. Besides serving drinks like beer and cocktails, this venue hosts a BBQ buffet during the fireworks festival, priced at 750,000 VND per person.
Cruise on the Han River
In addition to viewing the fireworks from high vantage points, visitors can choose to experience a cruise on the Han River and enjoy the colorful light show from a yacht.

4U Danang Yacht, Danang Dragon Cruise, RV Han Princess, Han Giang, and Ocean Tour all offer dinner on cruise ships, allowing guests to enjoy the fireworks display over the river. Cruise ships typically depart at 5 PM from the Han River port, taking guests on a one-hour cruise before stopping at a fireworks viewing spot. During this time, guests can watch the fireworks, enjoy dinner, and be entertained by live music on board. Around 10 PM, the ship returns to the port.
Cruise ticket prices, including meals, range from 1.1 million VND to 3 million VND. Seats on the upper deck and at the bow of the ship are usually more expensive than those on lower decks or in air-conditioned rooms.
