Among the 13 top-scoring students in this year's high school graduation exam, 5 chose to study education, 3 chose medical school, and two chose the field of technology and engineering.

In the 2026 high school graduation exam, Dang Quynh Trang (a student from Le Quy Don Specialized High School, Dien Bien) achieved 10 points in Mathematics and Chemistry, 8.75 points in Literature, and 9.75 points in Physics. With a total score of 38.5/40, she became one of the two top scorers nationwide in this year's exam. Speaking with Tri Thuc - Znews , Quynh Trang said she plans to apply for the Mathematics Education and Chemistry Education majors at Hanoi University of Education.

With a total score of 38.5 across four subjects, Pham Thi Bich Phuong, a student from Thanh Mien II High School in Hai Phong City, is a co-valedictorian nationwide. She achieved a perfect 10 in Mathematics and Chemistry, a 9 in Literature, and a 9.5 in Physics. The new valedictorian stated that she will apply for admission to the Mathematics Education program at Hanoi University of Education and the Foreign Trade University.

Considering the university entrance exam combinations, Nguyen Khac Cong, a 12th-grade student from Tan Yen No. 1 High School in Bac Ninh province (formerly Bac Giang), is the only candidate to achieve perfect scores of 10 in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, becoming the top scorer in the A00 combination. The male student stated that his goal is to study Information Technology at the University of Technology (Vietnam National University, Hanoi). The B00 subject combination has four valedictorians who achieved a perfect score of 30/30. Dinh Ngoc Hai Lam, a student in class 12B2 at Le Thanh Tong Primary, Secondary, and High School (Ho Chi Minh City), is one of them. Besides three perfect scores of 10 in Math, Chemistry, and Biology, she also scored 7.25 in Literature, possesses an IELTS certificate with a score of 7.5, and a SAT score of 1390/1600. Hai Lam plans to apply for the Medical program at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Ho Chi Minh City. Although her family doesn't have a tradition of working in the medical field, her parents have always supported her in pursuing this path.

Nguyen Le Yen Nhi, a student in class 12B4 from the same high school as Hai Lam, also achieved perfect scores of 10 in Math, Physics, and Chemistry. Speaking to Tri Thuc - Znews , the student shared that a year ago she transferred schools and changed her university entrance exam combination from A00 (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry) to B00 (Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology) to pursue a medical degree. Nhi plans to apply to the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Ho Chi Minh City, hoping to become a doctor to help people.

Among them is Hoang Huong Giang, a student from class 12 Math 1 at the High School for Gifted Students affiliated with Hanoi University of Education.
