Báo Đầu tưBáo Đầu tư06/08/2024

Myopia is becoming a global health and socioeconomic problem and is the most common acquired refractive error among school-age children.

Especially in today's modern life, due to unhealthy habits and activities such as: reading books, stories in low-light environments or at close range for long periods of time; playing games on phones, on computers; watching TV... too much causes children's eyes to have to adjust continuously, causing fatigue, pain and eye aches.

Vietnam has nearly 3 million children with refractive errors, of which more than 70% are nearsighted. It can be seen that the pressure of studying along with easy access to electronic devices (TV, phone, computer, etc.) causes the rate of refractive errors to increase rapidly, especially during the summer holidays.

Below is information parents need to know about myopia and how to control myopia in children.
