According to Chosun , on June 15th, the Blu-ray distributor of the drama announced that the project had been canceled. Previously, the company had launched a Blu-ray release project for Perfect Crown to meet the needs of collectors. The Blu-ray set was priced at 259,800 won. Because the project was canceled, all deposit payments will be refunded on June 18th.

“We made every effort to produce the Blu-ray, but after considering all factors, we regret to announce that the project has been officially canceled. We are deeply saddened and apologize for having to deliver this news to our loyal supporters,” the company shared.

The company added: "Regarding the cancellation of Blu-ray disc production, we ask that everyone refrain from making excessive speculations or rumors about unconfirmed information."

The cancellation of Perfect Crown's Blu-ray release has attracted attention and sparked much debate. Many believe this is the result of a boycott of the film due to its historical inaccuracies.
