Stepping out of the exam center at Trung Vuong High School (Ho Chi Minh City) on the morning of June 11th, Nguyen Kim Quynh Dan (born in 2008) couldn't hold back her tears, bursting into sobs and hugging her mother tightly. The two of them simultaneously called relatives to inform them of the news and were overwhelmed with happiness.
Studying 3 programs at once.
For Dan, successfully completing the literature exam was not only about finishing one subject but also about relieving the pressure after days of studying three different curricula simultaneously.

The mother and daughter were overcome with emotion, hugging each other tightly after successfully passing the first exam.
Unlike many of her peers who are solely focused on the high school graduation exam, Quynh Dan is studying at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, pursuing two majors simultaneously: her third year in Piano and her first year in Flute. At the same time, Dan is still concentrating on preparing for the high school graduation exam.
Understanding her child's difficult circumstances, having to live far from home and become independent at a young age, Ms. Nguyen Kim Ngoc Quynh decided to temporarily put aside her work in Ninh Thuan and travel to Ho Chi Minh City to accompany her child during the two days of the exam. Standing outside the exam center, listening to the constant ringing of the phone from her family back home, the mother couldn't hide her anxiety and worry.
Ms. Quynh said emotionally, "While my child was in the exam room, I was standing outside feeling very anxious. Seeing my child run out so happily, I felt incredibly relieved."

Ms. Quynh burst into tears when recalling her daughter's arduous exam preparation journey.
Commenting on this year's literature exam, Quynh Dan breathed a sigh of relief, saying she had "guessed correctly" what she had prepared for. According to the student, the questions were not as tricky or "profound" as last year's.
"Initially, I thought I could only do about 75% of the exam questions, but unexpectedly, when I entered the exam room, the questions were exactly right. I feel that all the effort I put into studying was completely worthwhile," Dan excitedly shared.
Thank you, Mom!
Recalling her journey, Dan choked up and hugged her mother: "Since 10th grade, I've had to be independent, managing everything in Ho Chi Minh City to pursue my passion for art instead of attending a public high school like my friends. I'm very grateful to my mother for being so brave to let me stand on my own two feet. And today, I think I've proven that her decision back then was absolutely right."
Despite having artistic blood running through her veins, the female student harbors a unique ambition. Slowing down a bit, Dan softly revealed that she very much wishes to study psychology further in order to connect psychology and music .

Although the literature exam lasted 120 minutes, many parents still waited patiently for their children.
The female student hopes to apply music therapy to support and treat autistic children who are facing difficulties. In addition, Dan also wishes to study economics to broaden her perspective.
This year, Ho Chi Minh City has nearly 143,000 candidates taking the high school graduation exam. Of these, 134,921 are students currently in 12th grade and 7,978 are independent candidates.
