'We will return to TNSV International'

"The whole team will train hard and come back stronger. If we receive another invitation to return to the 2025 International TNSV Tournament - THACO Cup, we are determined to win the championship," said Coach Saswadimata Bin Dasuki of the Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) team, sending a message to Thanh Nien Newspaper just before boarding his flight back home.

Like Coach Bin Dasuki, the team leader Muhammad Syafiq Bin Juffri of the Singapore team left with mixed feelings, expressing his gratitude for everything. This was Syafiq's second visit to Vietnam, but unlike his previous trip , this time, the team leader from Nanyang Technological University returned home with a suitcase full of souvenirs and unforgettable memories from his time participating in the TNSV International 2025 - THACO Cup.

Not only Nanyang Technological University of Singapore, but all five other teams participating in the International Student Volunteer Program organized by Thanh Nien Newspaper were satisfied with what they received. For the foreign teams, it was the warm welcome from the moment they landed at the airport, the special care from hotels, nutrition, training, and logistics throughout the tournament, and finally, the heartfelt and thoughtful farewell on their return.

One international participant jokingly remarked that they were welcomed and seen off with standards no less than those of professional players. This is also what Thanh Nien Newspaper aims for: to build a professional tournament with meticulous attention to detail, so that student players have a platform to showcase their skills, foster friendship between countries in the region, and strongly promote the school football movement.

" Thanh Nien Newspaper has made every effort to ensure the success of this international tournament. I believe this platform will grow and develop even further," affirmed Muhammad Syafiq Bin Juffri, team leader of Nanyang Technological University. Not only the Singaporean representatives, but also the teams from Life University (Cambodia), the University of Laos, and the University of Malaysia all hope to return in the near future.

Victory for all

The TNSV International 2025 - THACO Cup concluded on March 30th with Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism winning the championship. This is well-deserved glory for the team that played 10 matches in just one month, never giving up despite declining physical condition, always moving forward with unstoppable speed.

Coach Nguyen Cong Thanh's students have proven that the student spirit, with its innocent and sincere enthusiasm, can create extraordinary things.

However, football isn't just about winning and losing. Having come this far, daring to face challenges and pushing oneself beyond limits, everyone is a winner, and everyone deserves a trophy. "Winning or losing isn't as important as giving your best effort," emphasized Phouvanh Simanovong, head of the Lao University delegation.

After the final match, the players from Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism approached their Laotian counterparts to shake hands and encourage them. They were rivals during the match, but once the ball stopped rolling, all that remained was friendship, a strong bond, and the noble values of sports, making all hearts beat as one.

At an intimate evening between the organizers and the participating teams, over 100 players from various universities, representing diverse cultures, sang together, chatted, and immersed themselves in an invisible melody that connected them all.

From the checkered scarves brought by Life University (Cambodia), the traditional scarves of Malaysia, to the romantic European and American songs playfully performed by the boys from Nanyang Technological University of Singapore, the 2025 International Student Volunteer Program - THACO Cup became a cultural exchange festival, building bridges that will bring Southeast Asian friends closer together.

Beyond the confines of the football field, the tournament also promoted Vietnamese culture to international friends, as players from Ton Duc Thang University and Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism became tour guides, giving international friends a day trip to Ho Chi Minh City, where they could enjoy traditional dishes such as pho and banh cuon (steamed rice rolls).

The Vietnamese people are always "kind, resilient, and unwavering like a lotus flower," and it is this hospitality that has touched everyone.

"The players were very happy. We will never forget this wonderful experience," shared Syafiq, team leader from Nanyang Technological University.

Before leaving the tournament, Life University left a message in Vietnamese: "Thank you to the organizers for the warm welcome the Life University team received," along with a sweet heart symbol on the board in the locker room. Because, having stepped onto this stage, we receive in return for what we have given.

A journey has come to a perfect end. See you again in the new season!
