Speaking at the competition, Mr. Cao Tuong Huy – Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee – expressed that Quang Ninh province is honored to be the host of the Asia-Pacific Robot Creativity Competition organized by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Association. This is not only a technological competition but also a testament to the development of science and technology and the creativity of the younger generation and technology-loving students in the Asia-Pacific region.

According to Mr. Huy, in coordinating efforts, Quang Ninh province has directed its departments, agencies, and localities to make the best preparations in terms of infrastructure, competition venues, and equipment, ensuring international standards. They have also developed plans to ensure absolute security and safety for contestants from various countries, as well as medical services, information and communication, and visual publicity, with the goal of coordinating in the most active, proactive, and responsible way possible to ensure the success of the ABU Robocon 2024 competition.

Ahmed Nadeem, Secretary-General of the Asia- Pacific Broadcasting Association (ABU), stated that this year's competition marks the 23rd anniversary of ABU Robocon. Among the many projects implemented by ABU to nurture future engineers in the Asia-Pacific region, ABU Robocon stands out as a unique and meaningful event. The competition affirms its position as a major robotics competition in the Asia-Pacific region.

Mr. Dinh Dac Vinh - Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television, Head of the Organizing Committee of ABU Robocon 2024, emphasized that the event is not just a competition, but also an opportunity for young people to interact, learn, and share experiences. Besides the official competitions, the Organizing Committee will also hold many attractive side activities such as knowledge sharing sessions on programming and control, robot construction, and tours of the natural heritage site of Ha Long Bay.
