On March 18th, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (PC07) of the Ho Chi Minh City Police is coordinating with relevant units to investigate the fire at Thanh Da Market (Binh Thanh District) which caused significant property damage.

According to initial information, at around 10 PM on March 17th, residents discovered a fire at a household goods stall in Thanh Da Market (Ward 22, Binh Thanh District). They raised the alarm and mobilized several fire extinguishers to put out the fire, but without success.
Upon encountering flammable materials, the fire spread rapidly and intensely, causing panic among residents. Upon receiving the report, PC07 dispatched numerous vehicles and officers to the scene to extinguish the fire, prevent its spread, and search for trapped individuals.

The fire was brought under control by 11 PM. The fire did not cause any casualties, but it damaged or destroyed the property of several small business owners; the exact amount of damage is yet to be estimated.
