For the cultural development of Dong Nai

Established on June 19, 1980, Dong Nai Publishing House was founded during a time of national hardship, but from its early days, it has consistently adhered to its assigned mission. Not only focusing on compiling and publishing publications serving the propaganda and education of traditions, Dong Nai Publishing House is also a trusted source for readers seeking authentic values of the history, culture, and people of Dong Nai province in particular, and Southern Vietnam in general.

According to Truong Van Tuan, Deputy Director of Dong Nai Publishing House, the greatest achievement of the past 45 years has been its unwavering commitment to its principles and objectives. In the period from 2020 to 2024 alone, Dong Nai Publishing House published over 7,600 book titles and thousands of other publications, ensuring high-quality content, adherence to established guidelines, avoiding commercialization, and serving a wide range of people across the country. Annual revenue consistently exceeded targets by 30-60%.

According to Bui Thi Lam Ngoc, Director of Dong Nai Publishing House, in the coming time, the unit will continue to develop plans to expand the online book market, invest in equipment and machinery to apply technology in the digital transformation of publishing activities, and move towards building an electronic publishing project, implementing and developing the e-book segment. Dong Nai Publishing House aims to become a publishing house with regional operational capacity in the Southeast region of Vietnam.

In particular, Dong Nai Publishing House annually produces and publishes books commissioned by the province, with hundreds of titles on politics , revolutionary history, cultural research, science, and art. Many book sets have become valuable legacies of the Bien Hoa - Dong Nai region, winning numerous national and ministerial awards for books, contributing to the preservation of precious traditional values. Notable examples include the Dong Nai Gazetteer ( 5 volumes ), Golden Memories of Fire, The Chơro People in Dong Nai, The Complete Works of Ly Van Sam, and General Vo Nguyen Giap and Dong Nai ...

To keep pace with development trends, Dong Nai Publishing House is gradually transforming itself towards electronic publishing, striving to digitize rare and valuable documents, aiming to serve a diverse range of readers. The application of digital technology in publishing is considered an essential direction to spread the value of books in this era of national progress. In addition, Dong Nai Publishing House continuously strengthens its relationships with nearly 700 partners and authors nationwide, creating a network of experienced collaborators, contributing to enriching the knowledge base of the locality and the country.

Keep the flame of knowledge alive, spread the culture of reading.

Beyond publishing, Dong Nai Publishing House actively brings books closer to readers through a variety of activities. These include organizing book launch and introduction ceremonies; participating in book fairs and exhibitions inside and outside the province; and donating books to libraries and schools in remote areas.

Dong Nai Publishing House has set up an exhibition room to showcase hundreds of books on the culture and history of Dong Nai at its premises.

One of the effective approaches that has been embraced by many individuals and organizations in the province is for publishers to collaborate with and socialize the distribution of children's books to students. Many comic book series, such as "Legend of the Land," are examples. Books about Dong Nai, famous people of Dong Nai ... have reached a large number of young readers in Dong Nai. This helps to enhance their knowledge, maintain and cultivate reading habits, and spread a reading culture within the community.

Ms. Ngo Dinh Van Nhi, a teacher at Luong The Vinh Specialized High School (Bien Hoa City), shared: “The collaboration between parents and Dong Nai Publishing House to donate books to students is a very practical and meaningful activity. Through historical and biographical comic books, students are both entertained and gain knowledge about their homeland, history, and local culture. This contributes to forming a reading habit and igniting a passion for learning from an early age.”

According to Bui Thi Lam Ngoc, Director of Dong Nai Publishing House, in 2025 and the following years, the publishing house will continue to consolidate and develop comprehensively in all aspects to successfully fulfill the political and cultural tasks of Dong Nai. At the same time, it will diversify its publications, build a book distribution network within the province and nationwide, expand its scale of operations, and serve a large number of readers across the country.
