Mora made her mark. |
In the opening match between Mexico and South Africa at the 2026 World Cup on the morning of June 12th, coach Javier Aguirre gave Mora a chance, bringing him on in the 65th minute to replace Brian Gutiérrez. With this single appearance, the young midfielder officially broke a record that had stood for almost a century, previously held by Manuel Rosas, who was the youngest Mexican player to participate in the biggest football tournament on the planet since the 1930 World Cup in Uruguay.

Mora was born on October 14, 2008, in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas state. At the age of 17, he was named in the Mexican national team's squad for the 2026 World Cup.
