Amad Diallo played hard but could not help MU win the championship.

The 22-year-old winger played the full 90 minutes in Bilbao. Brennan Johnson's only goal sunk the "Red Devils" in a disastrous season with no trophies in all competitions, teetering on the brink of relegation in the Premier League and no ticket to the European Cup next season.

On X , Diallo wrote: "First of all, I would like to congratulate Tottenham on the victory, and apologize to all Manchester fans around the world . This has been an unacceptable season. Certainly no one can deny that. But we always fight with all the passion on the pitch."

"I promise you that we will never have another season like this again at this great club. Thank you for always supporting us, no matter what," the Ivorian star concluded.

Diallo's candid sharing received support from fans. One fan commented: "You are brave to speak up." Another wrote: "Love you, Amad. You will be a superstar in the future." Many words of encouragement such as: "Keep your head up, brother" and "You are a rare bright spot this season" continuously appeared under the post.

Meanwhile, the MU board is said to be putting the entire squad on the transfer market to avoid a financial crisis. However, the value of the squad has plummeted, with up to £407 million evaporated after a disastrous season.
