Allende was not much known before the play-offs. |
The name that came to light was Tadeo Allende. The Argentine striker experienced the biggest turning point of his career with an unprecedented explosion in the play-off round.
The final against Vancouver Whitecaps was considered a stage for Allende. In the 90+6 minute, in the moment when Vancouver fought back to find an equalizer, the 26-year-old striker fired a cool finish to seal a 3-1 victory. The goal secured a historic trophy for Inter Miami, and also helped Allende surpass Carlos Ruiz (8 goals) to become the player with the most goals in the MLS playoffs.
The amazing thing is the consistency. Throughout the play-off journey, Allende failed to score in only one match. He had a total of 11 goal-related contributions (9 goals, 2 assists), enough to make even Messi, who is always considered the center of every victory, respect him.

Allende stepped up to shine when he helped Inter Miami win the 2025 MLS championship. |
From the first match, Allende created momentum with a double against Nashville SC in a 4-0 win. In the Eastern Conference semi-finals, he continued the same scenario against FC Cincinnati, helping Miami win 4-0 away. And in the key match to qualify for the MLS Grand Final, Allende exploded with the first hat-trick of his career, paving the way for a 5-1 win over New York City FC.
Allende was only a loan signing from Celta Vigo. His 2025 season was quite quiet with 11 goals and 1 assist in 31 games. But entering the playoffs, the Argentine striker seemed to have been turned on, becoming Miami's most dangerous striker.
Two years after Messi brought the 2023 Leagues Cup home, Inter Miami finally reached the top of MLS. And at that historic moment, besides Messi still present, another name wrote his own story: Tadeo Allende.
