On June 13th, South Korean idol and actor Cha Eun Woo (a member of the group Astro) became the center of attention on social media when he attended a dinner party hosted by the luxury jewelry brand Chaumet in Venice, Italy, along with many other famous stars, including Song Hye Kyo.
As soon as Cha Eun Woo appeared, a post on the South Korean online community theqoo titled "Cha Eun Woo Attends Chaumet Dinner Party" attracted 57,000 views and over 600 comments.
The actor wore a simple black suit, accessorized with a diamond-studded brooch by Chaumet.
Cha Eun Woo's neat and handsome appearance thrilled the audience at the event venue. Many Italian fans gathered to greet him and chant his name.
On theqoo, Korean viewers also expressed their pride. They likened Cha Eun Woo to a "prince," a "national treasure," and said that his appearance at the overseas event helped "raise the national prestige of South Korea."
Cha Eun Woo is currently a "brand friend" of Chaumet, but the French jewelry brand's favoritism towards the South Korean actor is no less than that of an ambassador.
He is frequently invited to attend new collection launches, private parties with other ambassadors, and appears in fashion magazines sponsored by Chaumet.
Also at a dinner party in Italy, Cha Eun Woo created a memorable moment with actress Song Hye Kyo. A photo of the two together, highlighting their height difference, went viral on social media.
Early last year, Chinese media spread rumors that Song Hye Kyo was dating Cha Eun Woo, a younger actor 16 years her junior. However, South Korean media later denied these rumors.
At Chaumet events, the two also didn't hesitate to chat or take photos together.
