
The Social Work Center - Children's Protection Fund of Thanh Hoa province presented gifts to children in extremely difficult circumstances in Nhu Xuan commune.
With a spirit of solidarity and mutual support, every year when Tet (Lunar New Year) arrives, Ha Ninh Primary School in Ha Trung commune organizes activities to take care of poor students and students with difficult circumstances at the school.
The principal of Ha Ninh Primary School, Vu Thi Oanh, shared: “On the Monday of the last school week before the Lunar New Year holiday each year, the school will hold a launching ceremony for the "Tet Reunion, Spring of Love" program throughout the school. From staff and teachers to students, everyone will contribute voluntarily and publicly in front of the entire school. Afterwards, the school will form an inventory committee and plan to give Tet gifts, including cash and gifts, to poor students and students with difficult circumstances. These gifts may be small, but they have great spiritual significance, making the Tet holiday warmer for the children. Through activities such as giving Tet gifts and sponsoring students with particularly difficult circumstances, the school also hopes to educate students about compassion, solidarity, and sharing for the community.”
In preparation for the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, the Ha Trung Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center has developed a plan and implemented many meaningful activities, calling on staff, teachers, students, philanthropists, and businesses to join hands in caring for students in difficult circumstances during the Tet holiday.
Director Mai Viet Dung of the Center said: “This year, for the traditional Lunar New Year, the center will organize a 'Spring of Love' program, giving Tet gifts to students in difficult circumstances. To raise funds for the program, in addition to fundraising activities among all staff, teachers, students, and benefactors, the youth union will also organize a scrap collection project called 'Waste House' and car washes to raise funds.”
In addition, to create a lively and joyful atmosphere for celebrating the traditional Lunar New Year, the center also organized a New Year's experience space, erected a New Year's pole, organized folk games, and held a rice cake wrapping competition. They also collaborated with local authorities to give New Year's gifts to students' families in difficult circumstances.
Not only in schools, but also in other areas, many organizations, individuals, and society as a whole are contributing to the Lunar New Year celebrations for poor and disadvantaged children.

In 2025, the Social Work Center - Children's Protection Fund of Thanh Hoa province mobilized resources from various sources, totaling over 5.314 billion VND. Of this, direct contributions through the center amounted to over 3 billion VND (2.979 billion VND in cash and 55 million VND in in-kind donations); the Vietnam Children's Protection Fund and other sponsors contributed 2.280 billion VND. From this fund, over 7,600 children in difficult circumstances across the province received healthcare, scholarships, and gifts, helping them overcome hardships and giving them motivation to strive for a better life.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026 (Year of the Horse), the Social Work Center - Children's Protection Fund of Thanh Hoa province plans to donate gifts to children in extremely difficult circumstances with a total budget of over 624 million VND. Of this, over 410 million VND will come from the center's fundraising efforts, and direct funding from targeted sponsors (estimated value of in-kind donations and cash around 214 million VND) will also be provided.
Joining hands to care for poor children and children in particularly difficult circumstances is an activity that connects love, brings joy to vulnerable lives, and gives them more faith and motivation to strive for a better future.
