These are the trips through forests, across streams to patrol border markers, through waves to patrol the sea; the silent, arduous steps on the front line of drug prevention and control and all kinds of crime. These are the layers of sweat discoloring the uniforms when working in the sun to help people repair their houses; wading in floodwaters, natural disasters, carrying the elderly and children, helping to move people's assets to safety; leaning shoulder to shoulder with the forces to help localities reinforce landslide dikes along the coast, overcome the consequences of natural disasters, help people in border areas stabilize their lives soon...

In the past time, 100% of the national border markers were patrolled, with 1,300 patrols/nearly 6,200 officers and soldiers and people participating. The city's Border Guard force coordinated with the Lao border protection force to organize 89 bilateral patrols/more than 2,000 people; organized nearly 4,000 coastal patrols/nearly 20,000 officers and soldiers; organized 15 patrols on the sea area/nearly 300 officers and soldiers...

Countless sorties have been launched at sea, whether it was midnight or dawn, to rescue fishermen in distress at sea due to storms or sudden serious illnesses while making a living at sea, promptly saving the fishermen's lives. "The image of a border guard soldier who does not fear danger, rushing into the rushing water, storms or overcoming the waves to promptly rescue and protect the lives and property of the people, has left a good and deep impression in the hearts of the people, further enhancing the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the new era. Building an increasingly developed border area

The promotion of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in the city's Border Guard force has been implemented by agencies and units with many practical methods, creating strong changes, having a wide influence, creating positive results, contributing to the successful implementation of political tasks; deserving to be the core force, specializing in managing and protecting the national border, border areas, from the work of managing and protecting the border line, national border markers; managing and controlling at border gates; maintaining security, order and social safety.

With the spirit of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", agencies and units in the city's Border Guard force have effectively implemented the emulation movement "Border Guard joins hands to build new rural areas" associated with "The whole country joins hands for the poor - leaving no one behind", "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses"... The Border Guard force promotes the role of cadres participating in local Party committees, cadres strengthening the position of deputy secretaries of commune Party committees, party members participating in activities at Party cells, villages and hamlets in border areas; actively advising on the implementation of many programs and models to help people develop socio-economy...

Typically, the city Border Guard has participated in more than 20,000 working days of repairing and upgrading damaged schools, building rural roads, helping people prevent floods and storms; donated 87 shelters, comrade houses, solidarity houses, 2 classrooms, more than 15,000 gifts, more than 6,000 trees and seedlings; adopted 77 students in the programs "Helping children go to school", "Adopted children of Border Guard stations", 188 students in the project "Army officers and soldiers help children go to school"... with a value of tens of billions of VND, contributing to the development of the border area.
