The young man singing 'Dating' brought tears to Thai Chau's eyes.

Episode 5 of "Listen to Me Sing" aired with a competition between three contestants: Quang Hien, Moc Anh, and Nha Trang. During the show, they performed songs related to the theme of passionate love songs , under the evaluation of a judging panel including renowned singer Thai Chau, singer Ngoc Anh, and musician Hoai An.

Quang Hien showcased his sweet singing voice on stage with the song *"Dating".*

During the competition night, contestant Quang Hien chose the song "Hen Ho" ( Dating) to impress the judges. On stage, he appeared in traditional attire and scored points with his emotionally rich voice. The male contestant's performance received praise from the judges. Ngoc Anh, in particular, exclaimed: "Your voice is full, bright, resonant, and hits high notes very well. You have emotion in the song and handle it quite well."

While praising his singing, the female judge also frankly suggested that Quang Hien should be more restrained in the opening lines and some of the instrumental interludes to create emotional contrast. According to Ngoc Anh, knowing how to manage breath and create emphasis at the right moments would make the performance more engaging.

Musician Hoài An also agreed with this comment from his senior colleague. The male judge said that both choruses performed by Quang Hiền were well-handled, but if there were a clearer difference in emotion, the performance would be even more sublime.

Veteran singer Thái Châu awarded Quang Hiền 9.75 points for his performance, which reminded him of the late legendary singer Thái Thanh.

"If it were me, I would handle the two choruses in two different ways. The first chorus would be more poignant, while the second would be more climactic to increase the appeal of the performance," Hoai An commented on her junior's performance.

Thai Chau commented on Quang Hien's exam.

Veteran singer Thai Chau said that the song "Hen Ho" (Dating) reminded him of his years performing in tea rooms and the image of the legendary singer Thai Thanh. "This song brings back memories of the time when I went to tea rooms every night. Every night, the audience would request Thai Thanh to sing 'Hen Ho' . Everyone loved her rendition of this song. When you sing it, I recall the memories of listening to Thai Thanh sing every night," the judge shared emotionally.

Regarding this performance, the renowned male singer particularly appreciated Quang Hien's natural husky notes in the later instrumental interlude. "There were some very beautiful, emotional, and heartfelt husky notes. I don't know if he did it intentionally or naturally, but it was very impressive," Thai Chau commented.

At the end of the competition, Quang Hien received two scores of 9.75 from renowned singer Thai Chau and musician Hoai An. Meanwhile, the score from renowned singer Ngoc Anh will be announced after the contestants complete their performances.
