According to local residents, the fire broke out at around 1 PM that day, with flames erupting from containers of goods that were stored in the yard.

Immediately afterwards, the Fire and Rescue Police and local authorities actively deployed firefighting efforts. Dozens of fire trucks, water tankers, and hundreds of officers and soldiers from the Da Nang City Police force implemented a fire suppression plan. Police drew water from National Highway 14B and a nearby lake to deploy multiple firefighting teams to control the blaze.

Strong winds caused the fire to flare up intensely, resulting in numerous loud explosions.

However, due to the presence of many flammable goods, the fire was large and thick black smoke rose high into the air. At least three containers were burned; no casualties have been reported.

Authorities had to use gas masks and specialized equipment to safely access the burning area. As of approximately 4 PM on December 1st, forces were still focused on controlling the fire.
