UN officials warn food is running out in Gaza, while fuel stocks to run generators at hospitals are dangerously low.

Israel said last week it would not allow aid to pass through its territory into Gaza unless Hamas released hostages it had taken. Aid can pass through Egypt into Gaza via the southern Rafah border crossing, as long as it does not fall into Hamas hands.
