The CPI index for February increased slightly.

February, coinciding with and following the Lunar New Year, is also a time when numerous festivals are held throughout the province, attracting large numbers of local residents, tourists from within and outside the province, as well as foreign visitors. Total retail sales of goods in February were estimated at VND 689.32 billion, an increase of 24.47% compared to the same period last year; revenue from accommodation, food and beverage services, travel and tourism , and other consumer goods was estimated at VND 373.96 billion, an increase of 11.12% compared to the same period last year.

The consumer price index in the province in February 2025 increased by 0.26% compared to the previous month. Of the 11 main commodity groups, 5 groups saw price increases; the strongest increase was in the food and beverage group, which rose by 0.46%. The remaining commodity groups maintained the same price index as the previous month.

Compared to December 2024, the price index in February 2025 increased by 1.93%, with 8 main commodity groups experiencing price increases and 3 groups remaining unchanged compared to December 2024. Groups with high price increases include the medicine and medical services group, which increased by 17.84%; and the food and beverage group, which increased by 2.26%.

The average price index for the first two months of 2025 increased by 1.87% compared to the same period last year. Of the 11 main commodity groups, two groups saw a decrease in their indices compared to the same period: transportation (down 2.57%) and education (down 4.52%). The group with the strongest increase was medicine and medical services (up 17.99%).

The average gold price index increased by 37.84% during the same period, while the US dollar price index increased by 3.72%. Compared to the previous month, the gold price index increased by 4.43%, and the US dollar price decreased by 0.15%.
