The two women were close friends and realized they shared a common empathy for those in difficult circumstances, especially patients undergoing treatment. They discussed doing something meaningful and concrete to alleviate the suffering and hardship of the patients.

The women of the Compassion Group divided themselves up to bring meals to Cu Chi General Hospital to distribute to patients.

Ms. Phan suggested: "How about everyone contributes a small amount of money each month according to their income to a fund? When we have a decent amount, we can cook rice, minced meat porridge, bread, stir-fried noodles, etc., together and bring them down to Cu Chi General Hospital to give to inpatients there."

The sisters prepared the dish together.

Generous portions of food
The women unanimously agreed to carry out and maintain this initiative regularly. For the first few months, they cooked around 100 boxes of rice or minced meat porridge and delivered them to a single location: Cu Chi General Hospital. Gradually, people saw the meaningfulness of this initiative and joined in supporting it. As a result, they now organize the event twice a month, and the number of donations has increased to around 150-170 portions.
The value of the breakfast provided by the Charity Group may not be much, but "it's the thought that counts," and with the spirit of "helping those in need," the women joining forces to share with each other to help patients in difficult circumstances is something worthy of recognition and emulation.
