watchOS 9.5 arrived more than a month after the company released watchOS 9.4, an update that fixed alarm bugs as well as improved menstrual cycle tracking.
Users can now download watchOS 9.5 for free through the Apple Watch app on their iPhone by opening it and going to General Settings > Software Update. To install the new software, the Apple Watch needs at least 50 percent battery life, needs to be plugged into a charger, and must be within range of the iPhone.
The watchOS 9.5 update adds the Pride Celebration watch face to match the 2023 Pride band and includes unspecified bug fixes.
This is expected to be one of the final updates to watchOS 9, as Apple will soon shift its focus to watchOS 10, the new version of watchOS to be launched at WWDC in June.
