Over the years, Tuyen Quang province has actively implemented programs and projects for socio -economic development in ethnic minority areas. This includes strengthening the mobilization of social resources to support economic development, stabilize livelihoods, build houses for poor households, construct concrete roads, support the construction of sanitation facilities, provide loans, livestock, and implement clean agricultural production models for ethnic minority communities. Local Party committees and authorities, in coordination with relevant agencies and departments, have consistently paid attention to and created conditions to ensure and meet the cultural, religious, and belief needs of the people, especially those in ethnic minority areas. At the same time, they regularly survey and evaluate the implementation of village regulations, models, and clubs for preserving and promoting the traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities; they also educate and encourage people to eliminate outdated customs; and promote civilized practices in weddings and funerals. Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Son requested that agencies, departments, and district People's Committees seriously and effectively implement the policies and directives of the Party, State, Ministry of Public Security, Provincial Party Committee, and Provincial People's Committee on ensuring security and order in ethnic minority areas; continue to allocate resources and effectively implement socio-economic development projects, ensuring that economic, cultural, and social development is substantive, practical, specific, and appropriate to the characteristics of the locality, customs, and traditions of the people; and accelerate the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for ethnic minorities, especially the Mong ethnic group. Relevant departments, agencies, and localities should regularly survey and evaluate the implementation of regulations, village customs, models, and clubs for preserving and promoting the traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities…
On this occasion, 2 collectives and 7 individuals were honored with Certificates of Commendation from the Ministry of Public Security; the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Commendation to 35 collectives and individuals for their outstanding achievements in performing their duties.
