Preparations underway for the opening ceremony of the National Tourism Year in Binh Thuan.

The opening ceremony of the 2023 National Tourism Year, themed "Binh Thuan - Green Convergence," was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province on the evening of March 25th in Phan Thiet city. This is an important political and cultural event for the culture, sports and tourism sector and Binh Thuan province. The opening ceremony was attended by leaders of the Party and State, and representatives of central ministries and agencies.

Responding to Thanh Nien Newspaper regarding preparations for this important opening night, Nguyen Minh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province and Deputy Head of the National Tourism Year Organizing Committee, said that all preparations for the opening night have been basically completed.

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province has approved the script for the opening ceremony of the National Tourism Year; selected the organizing unit, the general director, and more than 600 performers who have been continuously rehearsing for the opening night's artistic program for over a month.

The opening night's art program will feature renowned artists such as singers My Linh, Tuan Hung, Vo Ha Tram, Ali Hoang Duong, and others, utilizing modern performance technologies and effects such as virtual reality or augmented reality, 3D mapping (moving light techniques), etc.

In addition, there was a performance by 7 motorized paragliders before the opening ceremony; a display of 36 hot air balloons around the opening ceremony area. Particularly noteworthy was the artistic formation of 300 drone lights in the sky for 10-12 minutes, culminating in a spectacular fireworks display.

According to Nguyen Minh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province, the activities of the 2023 National Tourism Year in Binh Thuan will showcase the unique characteristics of the people, land, natural landscapes, and distinctive culture of Vietnamese ethnic groups in general, and Binh Thuan province in particular; through a series of events with profound and attractive content, organized effectively and practically, with a focus on inter-provincial cooperation.

At the same time, the activities will closely adhere to the theme "Binh Thuan - Green Convergence," with each organized activity having a specific plan and program, prioritizing activities that are highlight-oriented, attractive, have a wide reach, and are highly interconnected.

Nguyen Minh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province and Deputy Head of the National Tourism Year Organizing Committee, welcomed international tourists on the first day of the Lunar New Year 2023 (Year of the Rabbit).

Mr. Nguyen Minh emphasized that the 2023 National Tourism Year "Binh Thuan - Green Convergence" is a typical cultural, economic , and social event of national and international scale, contributing to raising awareness among industries and people about sustainable tourism development.

Activities during the National Tourism Year 2023 contributed to improving the quality of new, attractive tourism products that are suitable for tourists.

From there, the aim is to introduce and promote the tangible and intangible cultural values, resources, and unique tourism products of the people and homeland of Binh Thuan, in order to attract domestic and international tourists to Vietnam in general and to Binh Thuan in particular.

"We hope that after the National Tourism Year 2023, we will contribute to further investment in infrastructure at the Mui Ne National Tourist Area, Phu Quy Island tourist area, and other attractions, contributing to improving the quality of human resources for tourism. On the other hand, it will strongly promote the linkage of tourism development with localities nationwide, enhancing the position and image of Vietnam and its people in general and Binh Thuan in particular," Mr. Nguyen Minh shared.

On March 21st, a reporter from Thanh Nien newspaper was present at the location where the opening ceremony of the 2023 National Tourism Year - "Binh Thuan - Green Convergence" - will take place. Many workers, mechanics, and technicians from various units were busily completing the stage, installing equipment, and decorating. The stage is grandly designed using a modular steel frame system capable of supporting tens of tons. A stage large enough for 4,000 spectators has already been prepared.

In addition, a delegation from the Office of the Ministry of Public Security and the Security and Order Subcommittee, led by Colonel Le Thanh Hung - Deputy Director of the Binh Thuan Provincial Police, inspected the security arrangements for this important opening ceremony.
