Gradually embracing the digital economy , in recent times, farmers in Tuyen Quang, with the support of the government, have opened up channels for selling agricultural products in the digital space. This is a new direction that not only shortens geographical distances but also enhances production efficiency and economic value. Vang Thi Dinh, a H'Mong woman in Ma Hong village, Nghia Thuan commune, nimbly packs goods while introducing the uses of each product to customers via smartphone. Ms. Dinh and her husband left their hometown to work in Bac Ninh with the hope of a more stable life for themselves, their children, and their parents. However, things didn't go as planned. They returned home and resumed working in the fields and tending to their buffaloes and cows. With the support of the government, Ms. Dinh opened a shop on TikTok Shop… Vang Thi Dinh's products focus on local herbs and agricultural products: liver-cleansing leaves, Gynostemma pentaphyllum, blood grass tea, purple gourd… Dinh's regular customers are gradually growing. Every day, Dinh's family regularly delivers 40-50 orders. Before Dinh started livestreaming to sell her goods, people in the area had to travel by motorbike to the city to sell wholesale. Now, her house has become a purchasing hub. On average, Dinh and her husband buy over 1 ton of agricultural products and herbs from people in the region each month.

It is clear that the proactive efforts of individuals, businesses, and cooperatives are driving the development of the digital economy faster, stronger, and more effectively.
Recognizing that local businesses would fall behind in the increasingly fierce competition if they did not quickly adopt and apply artificial intelligence, the Chairman of the Provincial Business Association, Nguyen Huu Thap, proactively transformed his concerns into action. Not only did he initiate the process, but Mr. Thap also directly participated in teaching, sharing, and training, embodying the spirit of "those who came before guiding those who follow." Accordingly, the Provincial Business Association organized 11 AI training courses for 1,200 officials and businesspeople from enterprises and cooperatives in the province.
However, given that Tuyen Quang is a province with a majority ethnic minority population and many villages and communes still lacking both mobile phone coverage and national electricity grid access, the digital transformation, especially the digital economy, still faces many challenges.
To address the skills and knowledge gap in e-commerce application, the science and technology sector is coordinating with relevant agencies to focus on training, helping businesses and individuals apply technological solutions to their business operations. Specifically, organizations, associations, and local governments are proactively developing training plans to guide farmers and cooperatives in accessing solutions for optimizing Zalo, applying ChatGPT and AI in production and business planning, and promoting agricultural products and community tourism. They are also guiding people on using smartphones to research technical information, update information, and build sales channels on Fanpages, TikTok, YouTube, etc., for OCOP products and key agricultural products in the area; and providing access to skills in livestreaming sales and writing promotional content for products on digital platforms. Participating in local markets and fairs, joining e-commerce platforms, expanding markets, and introducing local agricultural products online...
According to the report of the Steering Committee for Science and Technology Development, Innovation and Digital Transformation, in the first nine months of 2025, postal enterprises focused on training and supporting the listing of specialty products and OCOP products on e-commerce platforms. To date, 100% of agricultural households with accounts participating in e-commerce platforms have received training; 100% of OCOP products have been uploaded to e-commerce platforms. The province has implemented the Market 4.0 model with cashless payment services in commune and ward markets, and simultaneously applied electronic invoices to 100% of operating businesses. The percentage of the population aged 15 and above with electronic transaction accounts (including e-wallets and bank accounts) reached approximately 85%. Banks in the province are currently providing over 1.3 million active customer payment accounts.
From online stalls run by local people to AI training classes offered by local businesses, the digital economy is having a profound impact on the mindset and habits of people in the far north of Vietnam. Each technological "touch" is a step forward, enabling local goods and agricultural products to overcome mountains and reach wider markets. As people, businesses, and the government work together in this transformation, Tuyen Quang is writing a story of a borderless economy, where technology and a spirit of daring to think and act create strength.
