Upon hearing that a team of doctors was coming to provide free medical check-ups in the area, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Chuoc (Xom Bung neighborhood, Dien Ban Bac ward) arranged her schedule and brought her husband, a war invalid, for examination. There, the couple received thorough health checks from young doctors at Da Nang Hospital, particularly regarding respiratory and dermatological issues.
Mr. Le Ba Hao (born in 1955, husband of Mrs. Chuoc) said that due to economic conditions and difficulties in transportation, he and his wife rarely go to the hospital for general health check-ups. "This free health check-up program is very practical and meaningful, helping me to detect illnesses in time for treatment," Mr. Hao shared.
The health check-up was jointly organized by the Youth Union of Da Nang Hospital, the Youth Union of An Hai Ward Police Station, and the Trade Union of Da Nang International Airport Investment and Exploitation Joint Stock Company. Over the course of one day, experienced doctors and medical staff from Da Nang Hospital directly examined, advised on disease prevention, and provided health care guidance to more than 300 residents of Dien Ban Bac Ward.
Besides health check-ups, the team also distributed free nutritional supplements and medications for common illnesses; donated milk and essential goods to the elderly, families receiving preferential treatment, and disadvantaged households, with a total cost of over 160 million VND.
A representative of the Youth Union of Da Nang Hospital stated that this is a key activity in the unit's annual series of public relations work, aimed at promoting the expertise and skills of young doctors and nurses, demonstrating social responsibility, and showing a pioneering and volunteer spirit in caring for the health of the people.
During the "Youth for the Community" campaign organized by the Youth Union of the Internal Political Security Department of the Da Nang City Police and other units in Phuoc Tra commune recently, the free medical examination and medication distribution point run by the Youth Union of Da Nang C Hospital received great attention from the local people.

More than 70 people who rendered meritorious services to the revolution received general abdominal ultrasounds, cardiac ultrasounds, electrocardiograms, and blood sugar tests. Those with health problems received treatment advice, medication, and guidance on appropriate nutrition from doctors.
War invalid Ho Thi Thien said: “After the floods at the end of 2025, I had skin problems but didn't have the opportunity to go to the hospital for examination. Fortunately, a team of doctors from Da Nang Hospital C came to the locality to provide free medical examinations. I received a comprehensive health check and advice on diet, so I feel very reassured.”
Previously, the Youth Union of Da Nang C Hospital, in coordination with the City's Young Doctors Association, organized a free medical examination for over 300 disadvantaged people affected by natural disasters in Duc Phu commune. This contributed to building and spreading the image of responsible young doctors, all for the goal of "Serving the people - For community health".
