Let's work together to beautify the seaside flower street.

During every holiday, Tet (Lunar New Year), or tourist season, Da Nang city transforms with new, colorful landscape projects. Among them, the Da Nang Flower Street, inaugurated on April 30, 2025, stands out, showcasing the beauty of nature and artistic creativity, attracting numerous locals and tourists alike.

This year, the city is once again ablaze with the vibrant colors of the coastal flower street, featuring a variety of blossoms stretching along the entire coastline. This is also the second year the city has organized the coastal flower street, with numerous floral decorations inspired by the rich cultural traditions of Central Vietnam.

This time of year also marks the beginning of the vibrant summer season, when the coastal city welcomes tourists from near and far to experience the beauty of Da Nang. More than just an attractive tourist destination, the flower street is also a place for locals to relax, stroll, and enjoy the fresh air.

Many families bring their young children to play, many couples take wedding photos, and even elderly people come to admire the flowers and take some souvenir photos. Tourists seem delighted to experience a green space in the heart of the coastal city.

For many, this is not just a tourist attraction but also an opportunity to learn more about the culture and love of nature of the people of Da Nang . Ms. Vu Thanh Thu, a tourist from Ha Giang, marveled at the beauty of the road, saying, "I really enjoyed strolling along the flower-filled road, beside the beautiful white sand beach, with the gentle sound of the waves."

Mr. Tran Van That, a tourist from Gia Lai, shared that in the early morning or at sunset, the gentle light shining on the flower carpet makes the scenery even more charming. The flower street has become an unmissable "check-in" spot, especially for young people and photography enthusiasts... Pham Thi Hoang Giang, visiting Da Nang for the first time, said that her dream of capturing memorable moments and the most beautiful images of the early summer beach flower street has come true, as she was able to admire the flowers and stroll along the beach in a beautiful and peaceful natural setting.

According to the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang's tourist beaches, the 2025 beach flower street stretches 2km along the sidewalk of Vo Nguyen Giap Street, from the intersection with Vo Van Kiet Street to the intersection with Hoang Ke Viem Street (near the An Thuong Western Quarter). This year's flower street is part of a series of events marking the opening of Da Nang's beach tourism season, creating a destination for tourists; and also celebrating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country. The space is created with clusters of fresh flowers and colorful foliage, combined with lighting effects and artistic arrangements reflecting the culture of Central Vietnam, creating artistic viewpoints close to nature. At the same time, this is a community space and a unique tourist attraction for locals and tourists this summer.

Models of fish, sailboats, paper flower umbrellas, starfish, and many other flowers and foliage are creatively arranged and combined with artistic lighting to create many vibrant miniature landscapes along the seaside flower street in the heart of Da Nang city. These miniature scenes, featuring whales, sailboats, ocean waves, and the Dragon Bridge, are skillfully interwoven, highlighting the unique identity of Da Nang – a modern coastal city that still retains its natural charm.

However, despite the beauty and satisfaction that the flower street brings, there are still many shortcomings that need to be addressed promptly: some people ride motorbikes too close to the display area, or ride directly on the bougainvillea flower street, which not only endangers pedestrians but also damages the landscape.

Many people eat and litter indiscriminately; some tourists and locals bring food and drinks to the flower-lined streets, then discard the trash on the benches or at the base of trees, causing unsightly scenes and environmental pollution. Furthermore, in their desire for beautiful photo spots, many people step on the flowerbeds, trampling the grass and breaking the plants. This action causes the flowers to wilt quickly, ruining the efforts of those who care for them. In addition, harsh weather conditions will affect the flowers, causing them to wither and fade faster.

Therefore, authorities need to increase patrols and inspections, prohibit and guide people from stepping on or driving vehicles on the flower-lined beach, and instruct people to dispose of waste in designated areas...

The Da Nang beach flower street is a symbol of a green, clean, and beautiful city, connecting people with nature and art. For the beach flower street to truly become a source of pride for Da Nang residents and a highlight for tourists, each individual needs to raise awareness of preserving the landscape and work together to build a civilized and sustainable space.
