According to Le Thi Giang, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Quang Ninh commune, to contribute to reducing environmental pollution, the union has directed its branches to integrate environmental protection awareness campaigns into their meetings to raise awareness and a sense of responsibility among officials and members. In particular, the union always encourages the development of new, creative, and practical models in the locality. Through this, each official and member becomes an active communicator, mobilizing the people to collect empty pesticide bottles and packaging and dispose of them in designated areas for proper processing.

The women's environmental protection movement in Quang Ninh commune has been implemented through many practical actions, focusing on changing living habits and raising community awareness. The Women's Union of the commune maintains and expands 32 "Effective Public Mobilization" models, such as: "National Flag Road," "Green House," "Collecting scrap materials to build a charity fund,"... raising over 89 million VND, and purchasing 20 health insurance cards to donate to sick and disadvantaged members.

The association visited and presented 232 gifts to support women in difficult circumstances; it also mobilized its members to participate in environmental sanitation and the eradication of invasive plants during holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year). The association's activities have contributed to the local efforts to protect the environment, keeping it green, clean, and beautiful, and maintaining the criteria for building new rural areas and advanced new rural areas.

According to Nguyen Thi Hong Tham, head of the Women's Association in Ha Thiep village, since 2022, the association has implemented the "Green House" and "Scrap Collection, Environmental Protection, and Charity Fundraising" models, attracting a large number of members to participate. From this, the association has created a fund to visit and give gifts to members and poor children in difficult circumstances.

Specifically, from the beginning of 2025, the branch implemented a model of waste sorting and processing at source. Each family has its own trash can for sorting waste. For non-recyclable inorganic waste, families sort, collect, and take it to a central collection point for processing; organic waste is processed right at the household, used as fertilizer for planting trees; and recyclable inorganic waste is collected and sold by the women to raise funds.

The campaign "Building a family with 5 'no's and 3 'clean's" (no poverty, no violations of the law and social evils, no domestic violence, no violations of population policies, no malnourished or school-dropping children; clean house, clean kitchen, clean alley) has been concretized by the Women's Union of Quang Ninh commune through many practical activities, expanding the scope and content of activities, becoming a competitive movement of the union. In particular, environmental protection is a task linked to the implementation of the "3 'clean's" criteria.

Every year, the association guides its branches to improve the quality of implementation tailored to each target group, supporting families in fulfilling the criteria of "5 no's, 3 clean's". From 2021 to the present, the entire commune has helped 102 households achieve all 8 criteria of "5 no's, 3 clean's".

With its rich forms and diverse content of propaganda, along with many effective and practical activities, the Women's Union of Quang Ninh commune has created a widespread environmental protection movement. These activities not only preserve the living environment and prevent environmental pollution, but also contribute to promoting a civilized lifestyle, building happy families, improving the quality of life, and jointly building a new rural area.

According to Le Thi Giang, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Quang Ninh commune, one of the advantages in implementing the movement to jointly protect the environment is the consensus of the members. Thanks to this unity and cooperation, each model implemented has yielded very successful results. To further enhance the effectiveness of joint efforts in environmental protection, in the coming time, the Women's Union of Quang Ninh commune will continue to strengthen propaganda and mobilization efforts to encourage members to actively participate in environmental protection.

In particular, the association effectively organizes activities such as: collecting and sorting waste at source; creating flower-lined roads; building green hedges… Through these activities, it contributes to building a green, clean, and beautiful living environment; and effectively implements the movement "All people unite to build a cultured life, build new rural areas and civilized urban areas".
