While in high school, An's family went bankrupt. Her parents separated, and they lost their house and everything. An went to live with her maternal grandfather in the countryside. Her mother later went to work abroad in Taiwan.

Confiding in Tuổi Trẻ newspaper, An said: "At that time, I was having all sorts of confused thoughts. Then the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Staying indoors all the time, I fell into mild depression. Luckily, after the pandemic ended, I was able to go outside and started looking for ways to regain my spirits. And my therapy was music."

An recounted that after returning to school, he joined the provincial music club and traveled extensively to sing and interact with others, which gradually helped alleviate his depression.

"My mother returned. My mother and I started a business together. I've done all sorts of jobs, and selling pho is my current venture. This is the third time my mother and I have started a pho business," An recounted.

An spoke about how she got into rap: "I started listening to music in the 9th grade."

I didn't like rap at first. When I went to YouTube to look for tutorials on how to write music, there was almost no information.

Meanwhile, there were many videos teaching how to make a rap song. So I started learning to write rap, and I got hooked. By the time I was in 10th grade, I could already compose rap songs."

An participated in Rap Viet three seasons before and was eliminated each time. This time, he finally made it to the filming round, so he was extremely excited: "My mother and I each own a pho restaurant. When I found out I made it to the first round, I discussed with my mother about closing one restaurant so she could manage it more easily, and I could dedicate myself entirely to rap."

An shared: "Before, I was just rapping alone. When season 1 of Rap Viet aired, rap music started to develop in Hai Duong ."

"In the first round, my rap was lighthearted and satirical. But in the second round, it changed, becoming more serious. I compose rap by observing life and incorporating the stories and images I see every day into my songs."

The Rap Viet journey is still ahead of An as she has made it through the qualifying round and joined coach BigDaddy's team.
