Robber: A man who dares to admit his weaknesses.

Robber, the older brother of the rapper, was a guest performer at the Vietnam Green Music Night, performing two songs: "Dad!" and "1 Love".

At the Vietnam Green Night event held at 7 PM on November 15th at the Youth Cultural Center, Ben Nghe Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, Robber performed two songs that had received praise in Rap Viet. These were also some of Robber's standout rap performances in Rap Viet 2024.

Robber, whose real name is Nguyen Le Minh Huy, was born in 1996 in Da Nang and has been pursuing rap for over 10 years. He is famous for being the captain of the HUSTLANG team and the winner of Rap Viet Season 4.

He is currently the "older brother" who has been causing a series of surprises in season 2 of "Brother Says Hi". From the image of a rugged rapper who only expressed his thoughts and feelings through rap lyrics, Robber is now more prone to laughing, crying, and talking.

Some argue that "Captain Robber has set sail," but others criticize him for losing himself.

Robber frankly stated that rap worldwide , and in Vietnam in particular, differs in knowledge, environment, and culture, especially in terms of human factors and circumstances. Both underground and mainstream are two major trends he is having the opportunity to learn from and experience. He views criticism as motivation and a mirror for self-reflection.

"Sometimes I doubt whether what I'm doing is right. But from the perspective of a good screenwriter, you'll never get the ending you want or can predict."

Many viewers secretly criticized the screenwriter for having the main character fall or be separated at that moment.

"But at that time, the screenwriter was doing a good job. There's still a long way to go in the drama, and I haven't even released my new album yet. I've been working on this album for over three years. I'm accumulating and transforming what I've learned into many new skills," he said.

Robber called the show "Brother Says Hi" a wave, an opportunity to share with the audience the elements that make him who he is.

He mentioned that he has many friends who, when sad, don't dare to speak up or have to force themselves to play a role that they can't be. He, on the other hand, will only express what he and his colleagues are feeling more genuinely: "Those who dare to admit their weaknesses are also very strong."

Happiness is always having Mom at home.

Robber further shared that his mother has retired and moved to Ho Chi Minh City permanently. The two of them support each other through thick and thin. No matter how tired he is after work, Robber's happiness comes from having his mother at home. She no longer has to stay home alone all year round, just waiting for Tet (Lunar New Year) to see her son. He hopes to buy a house soon and repay his mother's kindness.

Robber affirmed that ever since achieving small successes, he has told himself that he must constantly strive to improve himself.

"If the audience loves me, I have to keep getting better and better: 'I also feel pressured because I'm not used to the spotlight of mainstream entertainment. The things I normally do every day are no longer normal.'"

I've gained many new perspectives, like a fish being broadened, nurturing the dream of venturing into the open sea. But I'm afraid of losing those simple and natural joys. So I choose a quiet, peaceful path, silently learning, practicing, and experiencing life in a new way."

Robber believes that being environmentally friendly will contribute to a greener, cleaner, and more beautiful environment. We shouldn't litter indiscriminately, and we should research waste filtration systems and the atmosphere to reduce air pollution.

Limit your use of plastic and prioritize recycled items or paper utensils. "I believe that if we all work together, the Earth will be a better place," Robber said.
