Robber: Someone who dares to admit weakness

At the Green Vietnam gala night taking place at 7pm on November 15 at the Youth Cultural House, Ben Nghe Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, Robber performed two performances that were praised in Rap Viet. These are also Robber's outstanding raps at Rap Viet 2024.

Captain Robber sets sail

Robber's real name is Nguyen Le Minh Huy, born in 1996, from Da Nang , has been rapping for more than 10 years. He is famous as the captain of the HUSTLANG team, and the champion of Rap Viet season 4.

Currently, he is the "brother" who continuously causes surprises in Anh trai say hi season 2. From the image of a dusty rapper, only expressing thoughts and emotions through each rap sentence, now Robber laughs easily, cries easily and talks more.

Some say "Captain Robber has sailed" but others blame him for losing himself.

Robber frankly said that world rap in general and Vietnam in particular are different in knowledge, environment and culture, especially in human factors and circumstances. Underground and mainstream are two big trends that he has the opportunity to learn and experience. He sees criticism as motivation, as a mirror to reflect on himself.

"Sometimes I also doubt whether what I do is right? But from the perspective of a good screenwriter, you will never get the ending you want or predict.

Many moviegoers secretly blamed the screenwriter for letting the main character fall or have to part at that moment.

But at that time, the screenwriter was doing his job well. There was still a long way to go for good plays, and I had not yet released a new album. I had been working on this album for more than three years. I was accumulating and transforming what I had learned into many new skills," he said.

Robber calls the show Anh trai say hi a wave, an opportunity to share with the audience the elements that make up who he is.

He said he has many friends who, when they are sad, do not dare to speak out or have to force themselves to play a role where they cannot be themselves. As for him, he will only say what he and his colleagues are feeling more honestly: "People who dare to admit their weakness are also very strong."

Happiness is always having mom at home

Robber shared that his mother has now retired and moved to Ho Chi Minh City to live there. They are together through thick and thin. No matter how tired he is after work, Robber is happy to always have his mother at home. She no longer has to stay home alone all year round, just waiting for Tet to see her son. He hopes to buy a house soon and show his gratitude to his mother.

Robber affirmed that since achieving small achievements, he has told himself to constantly try and improve himself.

If the audience loves me, I have to get better and better: "I also feel pressured because I'm not used to the mainstream light. The normal things I do every day are no longer normal anymore.

I saw many new perspectives, like a fish being opened up, cherishing the dream of going to the big sea. But I was afraid of losing simple and natural happiness. So I chose to be calm, quietly learning, practicing and experiencing a new life."

Robber thinks that being environmentally friendly will contribute to making the environment greener, cleaner, and more beautiful. We should not litter, but should research on garbage and atmosphere filtering systems to reduce air pollution.

Limit the use of plastic products, prioritize recycled products or paper utensils. "I believe that if we all work together, the Earth will be a better place," Robber said.
