Therefore, having health care programs like this in the locality is very convenient for the people,” shared Ms. Le Thi Quy (64 years old), residing in Hoa Thuan 1 hamlet.
Mr. Do Van Tam (75 years old), residing in Hoa Thuan 2 hamlet, expressed: “With the free health screening program at the health station, the whole neighborhood happily went together and we are grateful for the local health sector's concern. Elderly people like us now suffer from various chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma… If we receive good monthly healthcare at the commune health station and are given sufficient medication, we won't have to crowd into hospitals anymore.”
Dr. Dao Thanh Dan said: “Eighty elderly people aged 60 and above received screening for common diseases in the elderly, blood sugar tests, abdominal ultrasounds, electrocardiograms, etc., and were given free medication. The total cost for medical examinations, medication, and transportation support for the elderly was nearly 26 million VND, from the funding of Project 7, the program for healthcare for the elderly and ethnic minorities, and donations.”
