Loc An Wharf is located in Phuoc Thuan commune (Xuyen Moc district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province). This place was chosen as one of the docking locations for the once-famous "no-number" ships.

During the wars of national liberation, many fishermen along the southern coast participated in transporting weapons and ammunition, creating the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail on the sea.

Loc An Wharf is located at the mouth of the Ray River - a river originating from the Gia Tien stream. Both sides of the river are lined with primary forests and mangroves, connecting to the forests of Binh Chau, Phuoc Buu, and the vast old-growth forest system to the north and northwest.
Loc An is located about 20km from the Can Gio estuary - one of the most strategically important river mouths in the southeastern region of Vietnam.

During the years of resistance, Loc An wharf was chosen as a docking point for the unmarked ships, ensuring secrecy and facilitating the transportation of weapons.
At Loc An port, three unmarked ships of the 125th Naval Regiment successfully docked, transporting 20, 44, and 70 tons of weapons respectively in three port calls to equip the military and civilians of the eastern provinces participating in campaigns, contributing to resounding victories such as Binh Gia, Dong Xoai, and Dau Tieng…
On March 10, 1963, the first ship departing from Hai Phong carrying over 20 tons of weapons safely reached shore (later, March 10th was designated as the traditional day of the "No Number" ships).

For the people of Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Loc An wharf is a testament to the courage, boldness, and resourcefulness of the army and people of Xuyen Moc - Long Dat district in particular and Ba Ria - Vung Tau province in general.
This place also bears witness to the strategic maritime transport route, the "Ho Chi Minh Trail on the Sea," which transported goods from the North to support the revolution in the South.
On commemorative days, numerous agencies, units, armed forces, and citizens visit the historical site to offer incense. It is also considered a "red address" for educating younger generations about historical traditions. (Photo: XMNM).
Loc An Wharf was recognized as a National Historical Monument in 1995. Today, a memorial plaque has been erected to commemorate the glorious victory of the soldiers of the "No Number" naval convoy of yesteryear.
